The Void: Azalea's Purpose

‘Irella, please come with us!” Irella looked at her mate and their newborn, unable to find the words to describe the way the void made her feel, as though something devoid of life was trying to pull her. “It won't let me go Raf. I can't leave with you.” Raf watched helplessly as she was pulled towards the void, unable to move toward her as the void pushed him away. “I love you” He yelled as he saw her delicate face become consumed in darkness. As soon as she disappeared, the void dissipated. No pop, no suction, just vanishing in a split second. Raf looked down at their child, asleep in his arms. The child opened its eyes and all he saw was Irella's piercing grey eyes. ’ We can't stay here’ he thought to himself as he prepared for  the journey ahead. He had to give this child the best life he could, it was what Irella wanted for her child. He sighed sadly as he murmured an incantation under his breath. Once spoken, his demeanor changed. He did not have the look of someone who had just suffered a great loss, in fact he simply looked unburdened by any troubles. Raf lowered his gaze to the child and smiled as he headed towards their new life.
