Chatper 3.1: Kyle's POV

1602 Words
-"Mike, Blaze..."- Dave sighs -"Did you knew she could that?"- Dave asks. -"No"- Michael answers. -"All this time with those abilities, she could have..."- Dave breaks down. -"She could, but she didn't"- Michael says. -"Why didn't she?"- Dave asks. Dave has a point, Blaze without lifting a finger incapacitated the whole pack, if she wanted to, she could have ended our lives. Michael and Dave have placed her through an ordeal of pain and suffering, the tribe would only say that something should be sone about it, but nobody did anything about it, including my father, he was the first one who looked the other side when it came to Blaze and the torture her brother's placed her through. She had all the reasons to kill us, yet, she did not. Why didn't she? -"Maheegan pack"- Dad calls as he walks towards us. -"We do not condone the type of behavior the both Dave and Michael have displayed towards Blaze and the Elite Alpha doesn't condone the type of behavior thay we as a tribe, we as a pack have displayed regarding this situation, for so, we are to be punished"- Dad says. -"Alpha..."- -"Independently of what this tribe, this pack believes Blaze did, she is part of us, and it is our duty to protect our own, by allowing her brothers to abuse her like they did, we failed to follow our law, we are to be punished, and there isn't else to be said about it"- Dad says, silencing me. Dad sighs -"Blaze is the victim, the Elite Alpha has determined that our punishment is to be appointed by Blaze"- Dad says. -"Alpha, he will kill all of us"- Paul says. -"Or even worst, she go after our loved ones"- John says. -"Whatever Blaze decides to do, we will have to comply with it"- Dad simply says. -"But Alpha..."- -"How many of you heard Dave beating her? How many of you heard her cry in pain, gasp for air in pain? How many of you could smell her blood in the air?"- Dad asks silencing Keith. Dad raises his hand -"I did"- Dad says. -"We all did"- I say. Dad nods -"Why didn't we help?"- Dad asks. Everybody is silent. -"I can tell you why, because we knew it was wrong, but we all told ourselves that in a way she deserved it for killing her parents, and I will not repeat it again, whatever Blaze says, it will be done"- Dad says. -"Michael, Dave, you are relieved from all pack duties, you will limit yourselves to hand labor, how long will you remain like this is to be determined"- Dad says. -"Alpha...-" -"None of you are in the position to complain and make demands"- Dad says. -"I am to be married, if I am relieved of my duties, my marriage cannot go on, please, Alpha"- Michael begs. -"You should have thought of that before you decided to place a hand on your sister, when you decided to allow Dave to treat her as he did"- Dad says. Michael sighs in defeat. -"Be glad you only were given hand labor, the Elite Alpha was talking to me about exile"- Dad says, we all look at him. -"She killed our parents"- Dave says. -"Dave, shut up"- Michael says. -"We were victims, she took them from us, why are being punished for hating the murdered of our parents?"- Dave says. "Because she did not killed your parents, the Outcast pack did, Blaze simply kept all of us safe"- Dad says. -"Alpha, what are you saying?"- I ask. -"Blaze had nothing to do with the death of her parents"- Dad answers. -"We..."- -"Your new duties are to begin immediately, the Elite Alpha and I have decided to not overwhelm Blaze, our punishment is to be determined, momentarily, we all have restricted pack duties starting tomorrow, as for today, go back to your posts"- Dad says silencing Dave. -"Yes, Alpha, Ayden, Darren, take Dave and Michael to the camps, Charlie must be expecting them, the rest, you heard the Alpha, return to your duties"- I order. -"Spit it out already"- Dad says as we walk towards the house. -"It is not my place to question the Alpha"- I say. -"I am allowing you to"- Dad says. -"You have given her the chance to kill us all"- I say. -"She won't"- Dad says. -"You do not know that"- I say. -"And you do not know her like I do"- Dad says, I sigh. -"And the restrictions of our duties?"- I ask. -"That's permanent"- Dad answers. -"There are rumors of war, Dad, we grow, we become stronger by following orders, by cometing our duties, restricted duties mean that we are exposed, we cannot wait for the war to be upon us to get ready"- I say. -"Take it as an opportunity of learning, if you are not able to protect Blaze, you are not able to protect this tribe, your family"- Dad says. I sigh. -"Now, return to your duties"- Dad says, I nod as I head towards the forest. -"We could kill her"- John says as he joins me. -"I do not see how we would achieve it"- I say. -"She has to sleep"- John says. -"We already have enough problems, we do not need to worsen them with a failed attempt of killing her"- I say. -"Do you believe what your Dad said?"- he asks. -"I do not have another option, of all of us, Dad is the only one who knows what really happened that day"- I answer. -“Blaze is going to be our only headache today”- John says. I sigh as we approach the pack. -"Why have you gathered here? You heard the Alpha, everybody is to go back to their duties for the day"- I say. -"We need to talk"- Calvin says. -"There is nothing to talk about, we have orders, and we will follow them, so get back to your duties"- I say as I walk deeper into the forest. -"Michael is not the only on who was going to get married, Kyle, it is unfair that because of what they did, we get restricted duties, and all the hard work my family put into the celebrations goes to hell"- Calvin says. I sigh as I look at him. -"You do not have a mate, you haven't even started the process, so you do not have an idea of what any of us is feeling, how heart broken our mates are going to be that they do not get to have their day to shine, and only God knows when it is going to happen"- Calvin says. -"Then you should have stopped Michael and Dave from beating Blaze, because the problem with us is not what they did, is what we did not do, but if you have any issues with our punishement, I am sure the Alpha is available to listen to your complains, now this is the last time I say it, get back to your duties"- I say. -"John is right"- Calvin says. -"The problem it's her, it has always been her, she is not even a Maheegan, I demand her exile"- Calvin says. -"Anyone else wants to exile Blaze?"- I ask. Almost all the wolves raise their hands, only John, Keith, and Paul keep their hands down. -"Calvin is right, Kyle, it is not fair, we did not do anything, we do not deserve this punishment"- Darren says. I nod -"You want her exile, you know what you have to do, John, Keith, Paul, get back to your duties"- I say. -"Yes, Alpha"- they answer as they disperse. -"Kyle.."- -"You expected me to do it for you? No, Calvin, you all know how this works, you want her exile, you have to go get her, bring her to the tribe center, and expose her crimes, not me, so go on"- I say. -"We..."- -"ENOUGH!"- I snap. -"I have humoured you for long enough, either get back to your duties or go complete the exile process, but I had it with your whims"- I say. -"Whims? What kind of Alpha doesn't care for the needs of the pack he leads?"- Calvin asks. -"And what kind of wolf is not able to own up for his mistakes? What kind of weak pack of wolves I am going to lead?"- I answer. Calvin is silent. -“If none of you aren’t able to see what we as pack did wrong, with more urgent reason we need this punishment, because if we allowed this to happen, what else we would allow to slide? Who else we will fail to protect?”- I say. Silence reigns, but the anger in their eyes speak louder than any words. -“I have a lot to do, you have a lot to do, and if you are thinking of getting Blaze exiled, you have a lot more to do, so get to whatever you want to do”- I say as I turn around and continue walking deeper into the forest. I truly hate mating season, the wolves become so touchy-feeling, so emotional, and take a lot of irrational based on those emotions, like going against a woman that by only thinking it, will kill them all. **SIGH** They are going to get hurt. -“John, Keith, Paul, head towards Blaze’s land”- I order. Blaze has gone through a lot, the last she needs is more headaches, and the least I need is over 50% of my pack killed.
