Christopher hadn’t expected to find Thomas’ car still in his yard when he got home. True, he had sent the man to check on Jane and Tony. But that was hours ago and his friend had already texted him to say all was well. Christopher would have expected the man to go back to whatever he had been doing.
He parked his car and just stared at the other car. “Huh?” Well, there was no other way of finding out what was going on without going in. He picked up the package he had bought and shoved it into his pocket before leaving the car.
