Chapter Three

Davey came to see her after work.  When she answered the door, she gave him a kiss on the cheek like she always did and invited him in.  What have you been up to grandma?  Lacie and Mikayla came by to see me today.  Well that was nice.  Yes, it was.  I enjoyed their visit.

Well what is all of this he asked as he looked at everything laying on the table.  This is some stuff Lacie and Mikayla brought me.  I have all my old pictures and some scrapbooking items.  I am going to start putting together a scrapbook while I can still remember who is in the pictures and the details. Oh grandma,  you are as sharp as ever.  You do not have to worry about forgetting anything.  Well I am not as young as I use to be, so I need to do it now.

Look here.  She picked up a scrapbook page that had an old faded baby picture attached to it. This is your great grandpa's baby picture.  He was born in 1925.  He was born in Roanoke, Virginia to Henry and Edith Hamilton.  He had three siblings. Your grandpa was the oldest and then there was Lyle, Dorthea, and Janice. That is cool Grandma.  Are you going to put a story to all your pictures?  I am going to try to do the best I can.  I look forward to seeing a new one each day I come to visit.  It will be nice to be able to share your scrapbooks with Landon in the future.

Did you eat today Grandma?  Yes.  What did you have?  Lacie and Mikayla brought some lasagna and salad with them.  Was it good?  Oh yeah.  You know I love pasta. It was a Classic lasagna layered with Bolognese, bechamel, and parmigiana.  What are you going to have for dinner?  Are you going to the restaurant?  No.  I am not that hungry.  I am going to eat some left-over lasagna. 

Well Grandma, I guess I should be getting home.  Do you need me to help you with anything?  You want me to warm up the lasagna for you.  Oh, thank you dear.  I can do it myself.  You get home to that beautiful family of yours.  Tell Katelyn I said hello and give Landon a big kiss for me.  I will grandma.  You call me if you need anything at all.  He leaned over and gave her a kiss.  I love you and I will see you tomorrow.  Lock the door behind me.

Ann sat down at the table to eat her lasagna.  It was just as good reheated.  She glanced through all the pictures wondering which ones she would use in tomorrow's scrapbook page.
