Alpha Elizabeth's Betrayl

Elizabeth saw the sadness in Alex, she couldn't get the dejected look on his face out of her head.  She headed for the shower, Jared came in and gave her a kiss on his way to grab his clothes.  Once she finished her shower, she finally knew what she was going to do.  Her mother came to help her get dressed for the gathering.   "I don't think you should have marked him Elizabeth."

"I didn't ask for your opinion mom."

"Elizabeth, I care about you, Jared, and the kids."

"Mom, I think in your own way you do, but where the hell have you been?  When I woke up from the attack, you were not here.  Only Jared was.  After the babies were born, where were you?  Jared and Alex were there.  You have been a no show in my life.  You don't get to decide about my life or the choices I make.  Since I am the rightful royal heir, why did I only recently find that out?"

Her mother looked at her stunned.  She was right, after that night, she couldn't handle seeing her.  She should have stayed when the pups were born.  "I am sorry, I should have been around for you more.  Is that why you allowed him back into your life?"

"Mom, he cares about me and the kids.  He is a part of my life."

Her mother just stared at her, how could she forgive him?

Jared and Alex were both attended to, Elizabeth's breath hitched seeing them dressed for the event.  They were both cleanly shaven, hair trimmed, and muscles bulging in their formal wear.

When they saw her, wearing her beautiful one of a kind, designer dress, the two men in her life were mesmerized.  

Alex quickly looked away when she caught him staring at her.  Elizabeth went over and grabbed his face making him look her in the eye.  "Are you ok?"

He nodded his head but she knew he wasn't.  She leaned over and whispered into his ear.  His eyes shot wide open as he looked at her.  She pulled him closer and kissed him aggressively.  Jared chuckled watching them.  "About time,"  he said.

They headed out of the residence, her pups in tow.  Each of the pups had a guard assigned to them for the event and a nurse for their care.  Entering the Grand Hall Elizabeth saw her cousin Tom with his mate and King Xander's son Xackery with his mate.

Elizabeth smiled and hugged them both.  She had not seen them for some time.   King Xander came over and hugged her, "You have a wonderful turnout tonight.  He shook hands with Jared and Alex.  Are you all ready for this?"  Alex nodded when Xander stared him in the eye.  

All the packs were present, Elizabeth smiled seeing people coming together.  It appeared another successful event.  Many more mates had been found.   She spoke with Xander in private and he nodded with a smile on his face.  "Are you sure?"  he asked.

"Yes."

They opened up the event and then Xander announced "We will have a few surprises as the night goes along.  The first happens now, Please make a path."  Music started and Elizabeth came down the center to where Jared, Alex, and Xander waited.  Xander started the ceremony and married the three in front of their pack and the visiting packs.  Once the ceremony completed both Tom and Xackery left the room.  Elizabeth noticed and watched their backs as they left the room.  She leaned over whispered to Xander, his brows bunched and he sent some of his men from the room.

Elizabeth took Jared and Alex from the room.  They were alone in a room for about an hour before they emerged and return to the festivities.  People congratulating them and coming to introduce themselves.  Several more Alpha's turned over their packs that night.  Elizabeth was always amazed at how many willing gave up command of their packs.

Elizabeth made a speech to all present, similar to the one that she always gives at one of these events.  She was happy to see several of the guards had found their mates.  Several of her men and trusted pack members had spread throughout the room, everyone making sure the room was safe.  Her coronation would start soon.

Couples danced, ate, and enjoyed the company of so many.  Alpha's and former Alpha's were in large groups speaking on pack politics and relationships between packs.  Many had been named to a council that Elizabeth had created to keep the pack's concerns addressed.

Tom's wife came over to see the pups and talk with Elizabeth about the happenings of the last few months.  She handed Elizabeth a drink as soon as she came over.  While she was distracted, the drink was traded with another.  They stood and talked for some time and she went back to Tom, they both smiled and tipped their glasses to Elizabeth.  

Xackery approached Alex and Jared, a tray of drinks stops in front of them.  Xackery hands the other two a drink and heads towards his father with two more.  

As the ceremony started, several people parted so Tom and Xackery with their mates could make their way towards the stage to witness as the closest relatives.  Elizabeth linked with her guards to take the pups to the residence for their naps.  Although they were confused, they did as ordered.

"Tonight you will all witness the coronation of your next Queen, then your Kings."  the crowd started to cheer.  King Xander smiled at the crowd as Elizabeth's mother went next to his side smiling at the crowd.  "We thank you all for coming here tonight, we are so happy about the new mates.  We wish you all fertility, love, and happiness."  

The crowd parted as Elizabeth is lead to the stage, Jared and Alex following.  Much to Elizabeth and Xander's disappointment, she was soon surrounded by wolves in fighting position.  As one lunged for her, Alex threw himself between the attacker and Elizabeth.  He fell to the ground, blood gushing from his neck.  Elizabeth rushed to his side and held his neck, turning,  "Why?"  Elizabeth screamed at Xackery.

He smirked at her, "You think you are walking away with my crown?  I have waited for it my entire life, you three don't deserve it."

Tom stepped forward, "I hereby issue an Alpha challenge.  As your closest blood relative, I will be taking your packs."

"Who else is involved?"  she asked, Xackery motioned to several groups in the room, some were on her council. 

Tom motioned to several other Alpha's in the room,  "They don't want a she-wolf in charge.  You should have just let me have the pack."

"I accept the Alpha Challenge, but you might want to rethink it, dear cousin."  

Shifting to her wolf, Goddess licked Alex's wound closing it almost immediately.

"How?"  Tom whispered in shock.  Then he fell to the ground.

"Your wife tried to drug me earlier,"  Elizabeth said when she shifted back, "we simply traded glasses with yours."

As she said this, his mate was dragged off in cuffs.  "Don't fight her,"  she screamed.

Xander's guards grabbed Xackery, "Bad move son."  He said shaking his head.  

"You should have given me the crown."  he snarled at his father as he dropped to his knees."What is happening to me?"

"The drugs that you tried to give Jared and Alex, well you and your wife took them.  The guards switched the glasses.  Elizabeth knew you two were up to something, but we didn't realize how many of you were snakes.  I am so sorry MY Queen"  Xander said bowing to Elizabeth, "MY Kings" he said bowing to Alex and Jared.

"What the hell is going on here?"  Tom asked.

"I performed the actual ceremony in that room after they were married."  Xander said, "You were right, I can not believe these two."  He said shaking his head.  Several were removed from the hall and taken to the cells.

"So what do you want to do Tom?"  Elizabeth asked.

"I withdraw my challenge, I apologize My Queen,"  he said with his head bowed.
