A Reason To Celebrate Hailey and Katya were enjoying a glass each of finely aged Spanish wine, Arzuaga 2016 Ribera Del Deuro Gran Reserva, which the lovely tour “manager” ordered one of their waiters to fetch from her personal bar in her own suite. It was surprisingly very rich in taste, but that was not the only unexpected thing about their little tête-à-tête. Hailey was more pleasantly surprised at Katya's openness about getting her father a new partner than how wonderful the wine tasted. The beautiful divorcee’s mouth slightly parted then suddenly closed, unable to get her words out. Katya was amused at how stupefied the stunning redhead was at her earlier words but she truly meant it. After all, ever since they had lost their mother, her dad seems to be always dejected and a bit detached. But that suddenly changed when he began talking to Hailey. Of course, Katya will sure to have the full support of her siblings IF her father did continue to show interest in this incomparable and beautiful Londoner. Her eyes sparkled at the thought of hooking her father up with Hailey; even though the blue-eyed beauty was not completely into the idea yet. Ironically, the youngest Conall was already thinking about one or two tricks running in her mischievous mind on how to play Cupid with her beloved mentor/patriarch and her gorgeous new friend. "I was expecting that you would be a bit wary of me because I might strike you as a potential gold digger or something of that sort," confessed Hailey with a long gloomy sigh . Katya released a girlish giggle that totally countered her very mature aura brought about by her business know-how and experience, "I can understand your concerns, but if my Dad finds someone who he genuinely cares about, I am all in as long as he is happy." "It’s very admirable how much you care for him. Alex must be proud of having wonderful children like you," Hailey praised wistfully, hoping that she too would have kids like Katya in the future. "Like any loving and grateful children, we just want what’s best for him," Katya mentioned while her thoughts strayed to think of her father and that black widow together. She instantly shuddered and regreted her actions though. She was sure that her Dad was smart enough to not fall for that vile woman's plans. However, Katya could not help but worry as she recalled the reputation of that prideful former actress. Hence, her decision to assist her father and their new costumer to be a pair. The sound of Hailey's ringtone drew their attention. It was inside her Gucci Marmont 2.0 matelassé leather purse that was beside the ivory-skinned passenger. ' That must be Miranda calling, Hailey thought as searched through her bag for her mobile. She had been expecting feedback from her friend concerning the divorce and her best friend promised her that she would be able to pry her ex-husband's pocket wide open. Her almond-shaped eyes sparkled when she saw the caller ID. It was indeed Miranda! "Please, can you excuse for a while?" She politely excused herself. “I need to get this.” "Sure, take as long as you want, girl," replied the youngest Conall while twirling her wine glass in her hand and bringing it close to her nose to enjoy the rich aroma of the aged Spanish wine then delicately sipping it. Hailey slowly made her way to a corner of the spacious suite to get some privacy. Despite the fact Katya seemed like a really nice woman, they just met and certain aspects of her divorce was still a private matter not meant to be spoken near anybody that was still very much a stranger. Hailey pressed the reply icon on her wide HD screen, and the first thing that she hears was the excited voice of her trustworthy female lawyer… “Good news, bestie!” Miranda excitedly cried out into the line. "We finally did it!!!" It was very obvious that Mira was overjoyed, which was quite understandable. She was able to win her best friend a fortune, which Hailey truly deserved. After all, she had wasted valuable years with her ex-husband, who was dumb enough to cheat on her with a fake, pretentious b***h who wasn't worthy to even glance in Hailey’s direction. "Mira, take as long as you need to explain what happened, alright? Don't tell he easily agreed to your request?" Hailey soothingly asked as she tried her best to not get affected by her best friend’s exuberance. "No, at first your ex-husband refused. saying that our offer was too much." Miranda pausing on purpose to keep Hailey in suspense. "I expected as much from that damn Scrooge! I can't believe I was married to him for years," Hailey scoffed as she shook her head. Knowing, Eric she would have been more surprised if that ex-husband of hers readily agreed to her lawyer’s demands. "But you told me a while ago that you you have good news, right?" Miranda laughed heartily upon hearing her friend's words. "Well, since he refused to agree on an out-of-court settlement, I pushed the case to court; with the strong evidence we possessed of his infidelity and with how you wasted your useful years being his wife. In the end, the court sentence went in your favour." Atty. De Narra went ahead to further explain how Hailey was given up to 30 precent of her husband's net worth since that was 50 percent of the wealth her husband had gathered while they were still married. According to the law, that sum is supposed to be Hailey's! The red-headed divorcee was overwhelmed by this information. Not only did the court have awarded her a lump sum alimony worth a fortune. it was also so much more than she expected. "Miranda this is great news!" Hailey gushed. "I know. For now, we are still processing the sales of some of his assets. Once that’s done, Eric will be liquid enough to give you your preferred cash alimony. You have been awarded one billion dollars in lumpsum!" The dark-haired attorney then went ahead to explain some of the technicalities, including taxes and extra stringent matters, to Hailey. “Girl, can we talk about the math another time? I’m still on vacation, remember?” Hailey laughed as she now started walking back to a very excited Katya. "Make sure not to spend your money in one place," Miranda joked before cutting her call. Hailey had a bright smile on her face when she got back to the dining table, instantly arousing Katya's intense curiosity… "You look like you just won the lottery!" her impromptu lunch companion joked also grinning widely because of Hailey's contagious smile. "Even better, Kat! I just won a billion dollars as alimony," Hailey cheered, as she grabbed her refilled wine goblet and gulping down a third in one swig. The taste was even better, it seems. Plus, her life just hot a lot brighter because of their victory. Besides, her ex-husband deserved what he got and that was more than enough reason to celebrate!.
