New beginnings
“I just want money for my alimony settlement, Miranda. I really don’t care for any of his mansions or properties. Those places have too many memories attached to them and I really don’t need the extra baggage,” the 23-year-old curvaceous redhead said over the phone as she found a vacant lounge seat beside the massive yachts pool. “That’s why I booked myself on this European cruise, remember?”
“Even if it’s super expensive because it’s the best cruise and travel company to date and used up all your savings on it, yeah I know, Hailey,” Atty. Miranda De Narra replied from the other side of the call. “Don’t worry, I’ll renegotiate your newly-divorced husband’s offer. I’ll give him a counter-offer that he will never forget but won’t be able to say no to.”
“Thank you, Mira,” sighed Hailey as she placed her extra large and super-soft towel on one of the exclusive yachts classy cushion pool chaise lounges made by Patio Contract. “All I want is cash and I know Eric has lots of those. Fortune 500 has recently printed an article that mentions my ex-husband’s net worth is 17 billion dollars and I would like to have a share of that. After all, he married me when I just turned 20 while I was at the height of my career.”
“Yep, in the tours and travel niche,” interrupted her lady lawyer. “I guess that’s why you still read up on those business and vacation magazines, huh?”
“Well you can take a girl out of Stanford…” Hailey quoted with a melodious giggle.
”But you can’t take Stanford out of the girl,” concluded Atty. De Narra with a light feminine chuckle.
The two best friends ended their statements by sharing a short laugh together…
“Ok, I need to work on my tan, girl,” Haley remarked as she lay down on the comfortable lounge chair in front of her. “I need to do that while theirs hardly anyone here at poolside.”
“No problem, Hailes. I also need to go to a deposition in a bit,” agreed Miranda. “I’ll just update you when something comes up that’s connected to your divorce, alright?”
“That sounds fine to me, Mirs. Catch you later,” the blue-eyed young woman in a one-peace swimsuit stated with finality as she fully stretched her long smooth and curvy thighs in front of her.
It’s really funny how things turn around so fast. One moment you’re a happily married woman and then in the next moment, you’re a demanding divorcee who wants to get alimony because her husband is a cheating and lying asshole who will screw anything with a p***y!
Was it just a week ago when his mistress arrived at the mansion pretending to be an innocent third party whose ‘friend’ was f*****g Engineer Eric Serrano who was very much married to Hailey? And yes, that unbelievable shameless homewrecker put up an acting performance that was truly Oscar award winning complete with fake tears of sympathy for the supposedly unknowing wife.
What she didn’t know was that her best friend Miranda had already seen Eric and overacting b***h at a five-starter restaurant, seemingly eating something order than their order. True, they were behind some thick waist-high ferns that acted as a natural partition. However, true to form, the persistent lady attorney who was there with her husband to celebrate their 5th marriage anniversary managed to get a short video clip of them kissing and necking torridly as if there was no tomorrow when she passed their spot on her way to the bathroom!
Of course, Miranda immediately sent the recording to her college bestie, which was why the dainty 5 foot two spouse was already aware of this pretend “whistle blower’s” tale.
Hailey couldn’t help but feel sorry for the on-the-spot “actress” who continued to showcase her acting prowess, while informing her about Eric’s adulterous behaviour.
Come on, sweetie. You didn't steal my man. You were doing me a favor, the wronged but amused Mrs.Serrano thought to herself.
It only took one phone call from Hailey to her lawyer, after the barefaced lying woman left to started the her divorce proceedings rolling…
Freedom had never tasted so great as the recent divorcee viewed the wide, beautiful and blue waters of the ocean from her seat. Shaking her hair gently out of her face with a satisfied smile, Hailey hailed a passing server with a tray filled with crystal wine glasses half-filled with red wine. After taking a glass, the curvy young woman put on her Ray-Ban shades then completely reclined in a relaxed position on the lounge chair as she sipped her drink.
“May I take the vacant seat beside you miss?”
Hailey looked up at the man who was speaking to her and a friendly smile reflected on her lovely heart-shaped face, “Of course, Sir. There is no one sitting on that chair and no one has reserved it yet. Please, sit,” invited the beautiful redhead while pointing at the empty reclining seat to her right.
The dark-haired male was obviously in his mid-forties but he was still quite attractive despite his mature looks. He too was wearing shades but his were one-way Police Aviators which fitted his comely looks to a T. Also, his outfit screamed retired vacationer with his Hawaiian short-sleeved buttoned shirt with knee length cargo shorts and multiple side pockets along with smart-looking black Havaianas sandals.
“My name is Alexander, by the way. My family and friends call me Alex for short.”
“Hailey,” grinned the lady in the red bathing suit as she took her handsome seatmate’s large hand and shook it politely. “Unfortunately, I don’t have an official nickname so it’s just plain Hailey.”
The older passenger chuckled at her explanation before asking her something completely unrelated, “I can see that you have a glass of 2001 Rosso di Montalcino Abbadia Ardenga, Miss Hailey. How is it?”
“How did you know that’s what I have here?” the voluptuous female asked in wonder. “Even I didn’t know what this wine was.”
“Before I got here, I saw from afar that you took that drink from a passing waiter. And all the poolside servers offer that specific vintage to our guests.”
“Wow, how could you know all that? And why we?”
“I have a family member who is a manager here. It becomes automatic for me to say we because we’re so close that I feel that I’m sharing her job whenever I visit her.”
It took a few moments for Hailey to sift through what Alex has just told her…
Realizing the yacht’s manager was a woman, Hailey felt even more suspicious and curious. She thought that Alexander was quite an interesting guy. The lovely redhead was grinning inside her heart. She then decided to find out what other secrets Alex was hiding from her.
