“Are you immune, too?” Amber asked, wondering if that sounded rude. But then, Idris had to be immune, just like her, or he would be a pile of dust along with approximately seven billion other piles. “I thought I was the only one.” The smile he gave her then was hesitant, but also somehow sad. But that wasn’t so strange, was it? After all, the deaths of billions of people were a big enough reason to be extremely sad. “In a way,” he said, then stopped. “I will try to explain everything to you later.
