Chapter 10

*****Time jump*****

It’s now six years later, and I’m sitting on the bleachers of a Martial arts competition with Amber and her fiancé Ben on one side of me and Leroy and Jonah on the other side of me. Leroy and Amber are wearing the same T-shirts that state: My god kids are better than yours.

Kyo is standing on the sidelines talking to our beautiful twins, Koda and Kori. This is their first time competing, and they woke up very nervous, but we assured them that what matters is that they do their best. Kyon and Jonah trained the kids, and I helped here and there since I reached black belt level during my one-on-one training lessons with Kyo.

Once Kyo told me I was ready to compete for my black belt, I decided to compete to earn it, which surprised his students because they didn’t know I was training with him the whole time that we were together.

On our six-month anniversary, Kyo and I moved in together, then we got married when we reached our one-year anniversary, and shortly after, we got pregnant with our twins.

The baby shower for them was, of course, martial arts themed, which our friends planned together.

Kyo’s parents spoil the twins and state that they have to double their spoiling level because they are doing it for themselves and my parents, so the kids won’t feel as if they’re losing out, only having one set of grandparents.

Leroy wasn’t lying when we said he would spoil his godkids. He and Amber literally have arguments about who's going to spend a weekend with them; it gets so competitive between them that they sometimes take one kid each, then switch which kid they spend the next weekend with, and the kids love it.

I’m so glad that Kyo and I met all of those years ago and of the life we have made together. I would have never imagined my life turning out this way, and I couldn’t be happier.
