Chapter five
Zara POV
Three years later (Divorced Zara)
"No no no I want this one for myself and I want this one also" she said going crazy
"But Adele if you get all those things for yourself what is Piper going to get ?" I asked her
Every time we walked into any toy store she would go crazy and she would want to look at all the toys and would beg me to buy her toys. I remember once when I planned on to Walmart to get a bedroom pillows but when she saw the toy store I spent the whole day in the shops while Adele looked at all the toys in the store, and if I took her out she would scream and cry people would think that I stole her. But She had so many toys and she never liked playing with them. If I ever got her toys she play with for two hours and then watch TV. Her bedroom was filled with so many toys and stuffed animals, but by God's grace I hope I find a bigger and better house for the both of us.
"Ummmm she can have one of my old toys. But I need this toys" she said as if nothing was wrong with what she said
"No, that is not nice to give someone your old toys especially your best friend. Would you like it if Piper gave you her old toys"
She shock her head no shaking her two pony tails
"Then you have to look for a toy for her and you can only get ONE toy for yourself." I said making the word one very clearly
After twenty minutes of looking for a present for Adele we finally were able to go to the party that Adele was invited to.
"Mummy can you please carry me, my feet are tired" she complained
I just looked at her as if this child was crazy. If her legs were tired how did she think my legs were. But since she is my one and lonely love, I just couldn't say no to her adorable face.
I put the ToyRUS bag on one hand with my handbag and then picked her up with my free hand.
I walked into the parking lot and then unlocked my black Mercedes benz
a-class hatchback and put Adele in her cat seat.
Thirty minutes later
We arrived at the party and when I opened Adele's door she was fast asleep.
"Baby, baby we are here" I said kissing her face she slowly opened her and when she realized where she was she reached her hands up so I could carry her.
I picked her small baby body up and then closed the car door. The music was playing really loud and you could here the screaming out the three and four years olds from the front door step.
I pressed the door bell button and it immediately opened and one of Pipers nanny's the door and before I knew it Adele just of me and then ran inside the house.
"Thank you so much for opening the door" I said and walked in the huge house
My house was not as big as this house considering the fact that it was just me and Adele but we had so many things that needed to be stored and we needed bigger space for that. But I think one day if I ever decide to have more children or even have pets on the house this house would be ideal for me.
After having Adele I only lived with Ava for three more weeks and then moved out. I felt that I was taking up a lot of space considering the fact that I had a new born baby. So I first I got a job as the house cleaner and they paid me really well and the family was really nicely as they allowed me to stay with them and have Adele around me. I used to get 1600 dollars a month and I started doing online courses so I could actually make a proper living for me and my daughter.
Honestly I never knew the value of money because I was so used to getting things when I wanted them and it really made me grow and work hard for my money.
After seven months of working as cleaner I decided to stop working and then moved out of the house and then found a one bedroom house that was cheap to rent out. I then graduated and then got a job as an architect and then started building to were I am now. And I thought I would never have a good life ever again after Brandon but I prayed and God blessed and helped me.
"You made it....where your little one" Piper Mother Lea said and walked up to me and then gave me a hug
"She is already playing with all the other children"
"Come in and make yourself feel right at home. I hired a bar for the adults and a cupcake station for the children"
Wow she really made a big effort with everything. But it is not a surprise but Pipers Father was mighty rich and has a house built just to keep all his cars. If it was Adele birthday party I would rent out Mac Donald's and get her many toys that she will not play with.
"Thank you so much"
"You are welcome.....and I almost got to tell you about my husband's friend who is looking for an I architect for his house. And I thought that you were the perfect person to design their house. I already referred him to your company hopefully they will assign you to do the job. But other than that how are you" she asked
"I am good thank you, thank you for the client I really appreciate it."
"It is not even a problem after all you are raising a three year old by yourself"
It is not that simple raising toddler by yourself" I sighed
"I cannot even imagine what you must be going throw right now. But for a single mom you are doing well....I mean look at you, you drive the last cars that you brought, you have a big house that you brought, you, you take your child to an expensive school and you pay for other things by yourself. I don't even know if I could do all that by myself with my three children" she complimented me
She had three children two twin boys who are like 14 years old and Piper who is her number one and only daughter that she has.
I honestly did feel like super woman
I was about to say something when we were interrupted by Pipers father calling everyone to came singing happy birth to her.
We walked in and I saw Adele running in the house with her cute little pony tails moving side to side and her yellow dress.
"We will start singing in three, two one"
"Happy birthday.........." we sang and Piper looked so happy, she was carried by her father and her mother standing on the side.
I turned to Adele who didn't look as happy as all the other kids in the party. She looked like she was deep in thought because her hands were supporting her small head a habit she got from me. I wondered what she was thinking about.
When we were done singing Piper cut her cake and we all eat. On one side of the dinning room their were a mountains worth of presents just for one person.
Forty five mins have pasted and I was busy listening to the women at the parties drama that they were facing with their husbands until Adele walked up
to me and climbed on my laps.
"What is wrong baba" I asked her
After we sang happy birthday she has been really down. I got worried but I wanted her to learn to always come to me if she had a problem.
"I want to go home mommy I am not feeling well" I checked her temperature and it was normal maybe it was a sign that she has something that she wanted to tell me or maybe she just dint want to be here with so many people.
"Okay say bye to your friends and then we can leave"
She nodded her head and then walked away
I walked up to Lea and she seemed to be talking to her husband her husband.
"Hey, dear so to disturb but me and Adele need to leave. She said she is sick, maybe because of all the sweets she had today" I told her lying
"Oh poor baby, I hope she gets better. And please text me when you get back home" she said and hugged me goodbye
Me and Adele got into the car and when we got into the car and the question she asked me really broke me heart into pieces.
She asked me if she had a father and I didn't even know what to or even know where to begin with the sorry. I would really like to tell her the truth about her father kicking me out of the house but she is only young and I don't think she could ever understand what I would be saying to her.
So I told her that "Yes baby you so have a father. But he is working far away from here and he knows about you and one day you will hopefully meet him. Why" I asked her
"Because, Piper has a father and he was carrying her in her birthday. And I also want my daddy to be doing the same thing to me" she said to me
My heart broke once again. If only she knew that her father wants nothing to do with her. I felt like she was reliving my childhood of not having a fatherly figure in her life. And this is what something I didn't want my child to have.
"Don't worry baby, don't be sad you know I don't like it when you are sad.....give me a smile" I asked her trying to left her spirt
"Only if you buy me Burger King and MacFlurry" she to me with a smirk on her face. this child is something else. the doctor was very right when she said that she was going to be bossy. And since I don't want her thinking about her father I have no choice but to actually give her what she wants.
"Urrrgggg fine but smiled for me"
She gave me a bright beautiful smile that warmed my heart. When I saw her smile my heart smiled with her. This baby girl is my everything I don't know what I would or even where I would be without her.......
