14. Standing Up For Sona!

"I forgive you. " I heard Ranbir speaking as soon as I stepped out of his car.  We were right now standing in front of Ritvik's mansion and the music could be heard from here as well.

"For what? " I asked him to which he smiled.

"Remember the day we went for shopping and you behaved rudely with me. So now I forgive you cause you fulfilled my condition. You came with me to the party. " He said with a smirk.  "And that too wearing the dress I chose. " He added and then it hit me. May be,  he's the one behind all the dresses going for laundry. Omg,  how can I be so stupid?  He has done all this so I'm left with no option but to wear the dress and come with him!

"That means you? " I asked him and he started laughing. I glared at him shaking my head.

He started laughing and here I was fuming.

"How dare you? " I started hitting him on his chest when he held my hand.

" I get what I want Sunshine. " He said smiling and I rolled my eyes at him.

"Yeah right. " I said looking away.

"Okay,  I'm sorry but I really wanted you to wear this dress and come with me." He said pouting a bit and I had to give up.

"It's okay. " I said and after looking at each other for a moment we both bursted into laughter.

After we were done laughing we made our way towards the door. We entered the house and the loud music hit our ears. There were so many drunk teenagers, dancing, talking,  playing. Ranbir immediately caught hold of my hand and I looked at him.

He stooped to my height and whispered "I don't want to lose you Sunshine " my heart skipped a beat at his words but I know it meant differently. He doesn't wants to lose me in the crowd.

I nodded and he smiled. He started walking with me by his side.  Many guys tried to brush past me or touch me but with Ranbir by my side they could do nothing. One look by Ranbir and they maintained a good one arm distance from me. None was drunk enough to cross Ranbir's path I guess . Also Ranbir was now caging me in his arms protectively which made it almost impossible for others to even come close to me. I smiled at him and he smiled back.

I signalled him to come to my level and he did. "Where are we going? " I asked in his ears due to the loud music.

"I'm taking you to my friends,  I want to introduce you to them,  then we'll find your friends and then you can go with them. " He replied and I nodded.

He's going to introduce me to his friends?  Why?  I'm really scared of them. I was scared of Ranbir as well but I don't know how I got over it but how am I gonna do it with his friends.

I busy in my thoughts that I didn't notice that we were already near his friends.

Soft music started playing in the background which made it a bit easier to listen what people are saying.

There stood 3 guys, the part of Ranbir's band and also his best friends. Parth Shah,  Siddhant Singh and Malank Nayak.

Though I am not too short but in front of these guys I look like some Lilliput. They are huge and this is one of the reasons why people are scared of them.

"Guys this is Sunshine, you know her  don't you?" Ranbir asked them and they nodded smiling. They can smile??  That's something I didn't knew.

"And this is.. " Ranbir was about to introduce when Siddhant stopped him.

"We can introduce ourselves bro. So I'm Siddhant Singh,  Ranbir's best friend aka brother from another mother and drummer of our band. You must be knowing that I guess, Sunshine ? " He asked and I nodded.

"First of all,  only I can call her Sunshine so you better call her Sanyukta and secondly I asked you to introduce yourself not show off your position in the band. " Ranbir said and Siddhant rolled his eyes.

"Yeah yeah,  why don't we call her sister in law then? " Siddhant asked winking at me and my eyes widened. The others started laughing and Ranbir glared at him.

"Jokes apart,  I don't wanna make you uncomfortable Sanyukta,  BTW you can call me Sid and you look gorgeous today." Sid complimented and I smiled.

"Thanks, Sid" I thanked and he smiled.

" Hi Sanyukta I'm Parth,  Parth Shah. " Parth introduced himself smiling.

"I know,  Hello " I greeted smiling.

"And I'm Malank Nayak. We were waiting for Ranbir to introduce you to us,  I must say you are really pretty." Malank complimented and I blushed.

"Thanks. " I thanked him and he nodded smiling .

Ranbir was about to say something when the music stopped and we heard some fake loud giggles. I turned around to find some bimbos laughing at something or to be precise someone. I peeped more to find Sonali standing there with her head low.

"You know she really thought that my Arjun baby would love her. " One bimbo said snaking her hands around a guy and that's when I noticed it was Arjun.

"Have you ever seen yourself in the mirror? Stupid idiotic b***h. " The bimbo spat and my blood boiled.

Sona was about to leave when I approached her.

"Wait Sona" I held her hand and looked at the bimbo. Now let me show you your place b!tch.

"I'd give you a nasty look but you've already got one. " I started. Today is the day!

I heard a few chuckles and the bimbo gave me an offended look. It's just the beginning.

She was about to say something but I cut her off. "Save your breath- you'll need it to blow up your date. " I taunted and I heard gasps.

The stupid girl looked at me gritting her teeth.

"You b!tch" She exclaimed and I smirked.

"It's better to let someone think you're stupid than open your mouth and prove it " I taunted again and heard some more chuckles.

"Were you born stupid or did you take lessons? " I asked her and someone whistled from the crowd.

She opened her mouth but couldn't speak even a word.

"I don't know what makes you this stupid but it really works.  But relax stupidity isn't a crime so you're free to go. " I told her and now she was fuming. The crowd cheered and I heard a soft chuckle beside me, I looked there to find Sonali giving me a small smile with tears still in her eyes. It just encouraged me and now I was in my full form.

"Brains aren't everything. And in your case they are nothing. "I told her and now her face was red.

"You know what you'll regret this mistake of yours " She said in a warning tone and I heard "Boo" from the crowd.

"If you really wanna know about mistakes,  you should ask your parents. " I told smirking and now she was about to cry.  Good for her.

"I won't spare you! " She warned again.

"Oh keep talking, I yawn when I'm interested. " I said yawning and the crowd cheered.

"And why is it acceptable for you to be an i***t and not for me to point it out? " I asked faking a pout and the crowd erupted in laughter.

"Some day you'll go far and I hope you stay there. " I told her and now tears started flowing from her eyes.

Her 'friends ' tried to wipe them but I stopped them.

"Hey,  let her cry,  it's ruining her make up,  may be now she'll look better,  coz she can't look worse. " I said the crowd cheered again.

"You-" Her friend started but I pointed at her face.

"Quick,  check your face,  I found your nose in my business . " I told her and she looked quite offended. Good for her.

She then took her crying friend with her and the other bimbos followed.

The crowd started clapping and I raised my hand. "No need of clapping guys. " I told them looking at Sona,  who was now smiling at me. Sona suddenly hugged me and the crowd started clapping and cheering again.

"Thank you so much " Sona whispered as we broke the hug.

"It's nothing " I told her wiping her tears and she smiled.

"Sanny " Arjun approached me but I showed him my hand stopping him on his spot.

"I don't wish to talk to a jerk like you. " I told him looking straight in his eyes and he looked taken aback.

"I agree " I heard Any speaking and then me and Any made our way outside with Sona between us.
