5. Love Of My Life.

"And what more do you feel about me?" He asked me smirking and I smirked back."Do you really think I feel anything about you?" I asked him and his smirk grew bigger.

"Every girl does sunshine" He said winking and I rolled my eyes.

"Who said I'm every girl" I retorted looking straight into his eyes. His face held amusement all the time we were talking.

"I know you are not every girl, sunshine, you are special and I know it." He said smiling at me and my heart fluttered at his words. But I know he says this to all the girls and I'm not going to fall in his trap.

I was about to retort when I saw Sonali passing by the door of library, I immediately got up and made my way towards her, I need to talk to her.

I heard Ranbir calling my name but I didn't paid any attention to it, talking to Sonali is more important for me right now.

"Sona" I called her and she stopped on her track. She turned to me and smiled a bit. This is not the smile I always get from her, this is a sad smile which I never wish to see on her face.

"Sanny" she called my name and I couldn't stop myself from running towards her and hugging her.

As soon as I hugged her, I heard her sobs. She too hugged me back and now I'm gonna kick Arjun where the sun doesn't shines for sure.

After few seconds we broke the hug and I saw tears in her eyes. Even my cheeks were wet now looking at her vulnerable state. She loved Arjun truly but I guess he doesn't deserves a pure soul like Sona.

"No Sona, don't waste your pearls for a piece of s**t" I said wiping her tears and she chuckled.

"Who can tell he's your best friend Sanny" she said looking at me and wiping my tears. This was my turn to chuckle.

"Arjun deserves a lesson for hurting an innocent girl's heart" I said with determination.

"He's your best friend Sanny" Sona said smiling sadly at me.

"I don't care, he needs a lesson, he needs to understand that girls are not toys, we too have emotions, he just can't play with any girl and leave her like nothing happened." I told her and she smiled sadly.

"It was my fault Sanny, everybody warned me, even you did but I was too blind in love to see what's coming. I think I deserved it" she said looking down.

"What the fudge Sona? How can you even say that? You DID NOT deserved this, you hear me? You didn't! No girl deserves this. Loving someone isn't wrong, how can you blame yourself for this? This is totally wrong Sona." I told her and a tear slipped from her eyes.

She hugged me and I caressed her hair like an elder sister.

"Trust me Sona, it wasn't your fault and Arjun is gonna pay for what he has done" I promised her and myself. So what if he's my best friend, what's wrong is wrong.

We broke the hug and she smiled at me. I smiled back and she left chipping a "see ya and thank you" to me.

I smiled at her retreating figure and turned to go back to the library to collect my stuffs which I left in the library while coming here.

I entered the library to find Randhir still sitting there. I went towards the table, completely ignoring his presence and started keeping my stuffs inside my bag.

Beep!

My cell beeped showing that I have received a message. A message from 'Love Of My Life' huh? Love Of My Life? Who's this? I frowned and opened the text. 

It read:

You should lock your phone before you leave it sunshine :)

I immediately turned to Ranbir who was grinning at me. I shook my head and deleted his number from my phone.

"Seriously Ranbir?" I asked him cringing my nose and he chuckled.

"We both know it's true" he said smirking and I rolled my eyes.

"Ya, if that helps you sleep at night" I said in a bored tone.

"I know I'm not getting any sleep tonight, only because of you" he said winking at me and I cringed my nose. So cheesy!

"Ranbir, why don't you slip into something comfortable, like coma?" I asked him smiling sweetly and he chuckled.

"No no Sunshine and especially after I finally have your number " he said grinning mischievously.

"Congrats" I said rolling my eyes and I heard him chuckle.

I took my bag and left the place before he could speak anything else. I'm in no mood to argue with him any more. I was walking on the corridor when I saw Arjun coming in my direction. He saw me and smirked but I just turned around and started walking in other direction.

"Sanny" he called me but I didn't stopped walking. Then I heard his footsteps getting closer so I started walking faster. I seriously don't wanna face him now.

Then what I saw made me smirk, Girl's restroom, perfect! I dashed inside the restroom and  Arjun cursed. Good! Now I just have to wait till Arjun leaves.

"Sanny" I heard a very familiar voice and turned to find Any standing there with a frown on her face.

"Oh Any" I said sighing.

"What happened?" She asked me. Oh Any you have no idea!

"Where should I start from?" I asked her and she raised her eyebrows. Ugh, I seriously wanna know how she does that!

"From the very beginning" she said crossing her arms and I sighted.

"Okay so it started after the lunch......" I told her everything, from bumping into Ranbir to meeting him in the library, then meet with Sona, Ranbir taking my number and finally running from Arjun and meeting her.

"Oh My Freaking God Sanny! Too much happened." She said and I sat on the platform of the washroom.

"Ya, now will you kindly peek from the door and see if Arjun left or not, I wanna get out of here."  I told her whining and she nodded.

Then she peeked from the door and gave me a thumbs up, that means Arjun left. Thank God!

We both came out of the washroom and made our way to the canteen coz as mentioned before it's our free period.

"So you are next" Any said causing me to frown at her. Sometimes Any can be so confusing.

"Next what?" I asked her and she looked at me like a very protective mother looks at her adolescent daughter.

"Next toy, Ranbir Malhotra's next toy."  She said gritting her teeth and I gave her a weird look.

"Oh please Any, do you really think he can play with me? I'm never gonna fall for his charm and that's for sure.  I'm never ever gonna be one of his play toys, always remember that. I'm not a fool, neither a desperate bimbo, so chill. He can never get me. And also I have you guys, do you really think Arjun, Arav, Arnav and you will ever let this happen?" I asked the last part smiling and she too smiled back at me.

"Never" she replied smiling and it felt like a promise to me. I know my best friends will never let Ranbir or anybody else hurt me. Especially Arjun can never let this happen, I know he himself is a playboy and we are having few differences between us but this doesn't means we don't love each other. My friends are always there for me and I know it.
