Chapter 13

1345 Words
It was way back in highschool when I felt that I was attracted to a woman. There was this cute blond girl named Tamaryn who was really pretty and intelligent that I couldn't help not liking her. We actually became a couple but she ended up dumping me after realizing that she wanted someone else. After that I had a few insignifant romances in college which were all insane adolescent experiences. As years passed, the feeling of attraction was no longer familiar to me. It became a word which for me meant nothing. It was like a vague thing of the past. But all of that changed today, when I was infront of this doctor. I don't know how it happened but it was like a black hole dragging everything with it's gravitational pull. "Open your eyes, Peter." She stopped infront of me and lifted the light near my face. "Look at me." Her voice felt like a warm bath. Each word coming from those bold red lips sounded like a symphony. It was. . .it was like I was staring at an angel. That was the only thing that seems to register in my head. Dr. Marquez sat in the chair infront of me so we can see each other face to face. "Keep staring Peter." I did not need to be told twice. I was already staring at that gorgeous face even without her asking me to. "You are such a fuzzy young man." Her giggle covered the entire room, making me wanting to hear more. "And you're the. . .most beautiful person I've ever met." "Oh, flattery," she said and pinched my cheek. The words just keep coming out of my mouth as I keep staring at her. I didn't want to look anywhere else. I didn't want to see anything else. "Come closer Peter." My body automatically obliged. I moved the seat closer to her. With a smile, she leaned closer to me and traced my face with her fingers. Red fingernails tapped the sides of my lips. Her finger went down my chest to check out my necklace. "This necklace," she said. Her eyes stared at it with awe and amazement as if that letter V was something special. "You said it was from you're mother. Where is she now?" "I. . .don't know." I gasped for air. It was as if the words were being forced out of me. "She left me when I was a baby. This was. . .all that was. . .left of her." "And your dad? Do you know who he is?" "N-no. . .I. . .do not. He was. . .he was never around ever since I could remember." "That's so sad Peter." Dr. Marquez sighed. I nodded, still staring at her. "But don't worry. I know one thing that'll help you ease the pain." Without warning, she grabbed me by the neck and sealed our lips into a kiss. I was too astounded and too carried away to resist. I was lifted into the clouds and my conciouness felt blank. Her lips felt soft and smooth until I found myself pulling her closer to me. I was drowned with the sensation and I no longer had the urge to stop. She pushed me in my seat, causing me to hit my back on the backrest and my elbow to hit the porcelain vase on the edge of the table that shattered on the floor. That's when I realized what I was doing. Gasping for air, I pushed Dr. Marquez away. What the? What the hell was I doing? I blinked several times and felt dizzy. "Why'd you stopped?" she asked and grabbed my collar. I was forced to stare into her eyes. They had turned blue. "T-this isn't right," I muttered. My chest felt extremely hot. She's doing something on me. Something I'm not even aware of. I pushed her away and tried to get up but she grabbed my jacket and slumped me back into the seat. A smirk appeared on her lips. This time, it carried malice with it. "I think I need to go," I said. I tried to get up and head for the door but before I could take a step, Dr. Marquez grabbed me, and like I was made of plastic, pushed me back to where I was seated. She grabbed me by the neck and leaned closer to my face. My heartbeat was increasing as she she moved forward. "What are you doing?" "Simple," she replied. Her smile remained sweet. Evil sweet. "I'm keeping you here. You are not going anywhere," she whispered so close to my ear. It made my skin tremble. Her fingernails pierced my skin and without haste, she pulled me and bit my neck. "Ahhhhj!" I screamed. I was slouched on the chair with nowhere to go. Her fangs dug in my skin and I can feel my blood being sucked away. I reeled and kicked her. I had this occasional surge of strength which really surprises me because when I pushed her, Dr. Marquez was swept away and crashed into the potted plants behind her. I hurriedly got up and ran for the door yet like a bullet she got up and blocked my path. Donning her unfading smirk, she wiped the blood off her lips. My blood. She chuckled. "Hmmm, that was good." I felt cold perspiration covering my entire body. I took cautious steps backwards as she advanced slowly at me. "Do you really think I would let you leave just like that?" she said. "We've been looking for you for years and look who made it here to my office. I always knew you'd fall for my trap. I never expected you to be this weak but still. . .it's an advantage so that I could easily kill you!" With a leap, she attacked. The table was the only thing I could run to so I hopped around it. But she still caught my foot and pulled me like a yoyo. She screamed when I kicked her in the face but I was already slammed in the wall. My fall was bad. It also felt like I broke my nose. "Stop playing around Peter!" I pushed the table on her and grabbed everything near me. Picture frames, envelopes, figurines, papers and threw them at her. She hissed angrily and her bloody fangs loomed over me. I didn't know where I got all the strenght but I was able to lift the table and threw it at the doctor. Metal, glass and plastic clanged on the tiled floor. I ran for the door and grabbed the knob just as Ms. Marquez crawled near my feet and kicked me. I feel down and screamed. Her nails dug and scratched at my arms, creating three long bloody lines. "You are not going out of this place alive!" She gripped my neck, tightening her fingers around my throat. Her blue eyes whirled to my eyesight as everything around me seems to turn dark. I was loosing energy but then I saw something beside me that gave me hope-broken vase. Dr. Marquez tried to bite me once again. I struggled to get her off but my legs were locked against hers. I tucked my chin and reached for the broken glass on the floor. I was almost out of breath. With a grunt, I pulled a broken piece and stabbed the doctor on her neck. "Ahhhhhh!" She lost her grip on me as her blood spattered on my face. I explosively removed the hold and pushed her away. I wasted no time and ran for the door. "Hellllppppp!" My voice echoed in the empty hallway of the hospital. I was bleeding. I'm pretty sure the doctor was very much alive. I glanced back and saw her exiting the office. She had taken off her white coat and her top had been soaked in blood. She was walking towards me with a smug smile. I ran faster yet the hallway seemed to be endless.
