Mia’s Pov
My eyes squinted against the bright light of the blazing sun, filtering through the leaves above. My head throbbed as my mind was clouded with confusion and angst whilst I took in my surroundings.
My heart began to pound in my chest, as I realized apparently what a dangerous situation I was in.
I was all alone in a big forest, filled with the tallest trees and the thickest leaves. I have never been in a forest this big and closeted. It felt like I was in a maze.
So many questions flooded my mind;
What was I doing in a forest?
Or I suppose the real question was why was I tied to a tree?
Amidst the confusion, a great deal of panic surged through me, my heart pounding in my chest. I wasn’t only in an unfamiliar territory, I was in the most unsafe part of that territory.
