FEELING OF BETRAYAL

CHAPTER-10 Henry's Feelings

Fio’s POV:

I opened my eyes only for the sun to hit my eyes. I closed it and opened it to adjust my eyes. I felt stinging pain in my hand and then realized that I had cut my hands. This is the time I need to be strong. I need to move on!

I got up and did my morning business. Went down to the living room after my wash to be greeted by Tessa and Sam talking to each other . I heard them discussing about me and wanted to eavesdrop the conversation but courtesy you know! I walked in to greet them.

“Hey! Good morning.” I wished Tessa and Sam.

“Good morning sleeping beauty.” Sam wished me with a grin.

“Good morning baby sister.” Tessa greeted me with a happy smile.

‘Is she smiling or am I dreaming? Wait! Did I hear her saying baby sister? What’s with her?’

I cleared my throat to talk back but Tessa cut me again.

“I know what you’re thinking Fio. I’m sorry about what happened. I know what happened. Henry told me. But I never expected my best friend to treat you badly. I trusted him but never realized he would hurt my own sister. I genuinely wanted to make you happy. But never realized that this would affect you baby.” She said and hugged me.

I could feel her crying because my t-shirt was getting wet. I tapped her and consoled her saying she understood the reality at least now. 

We all planned to go the park with Honey (Sam’s pet). We spent the whole morning till mid-afternoon in the park. When we were about to leave the park Tessa got a call from Henry’s number but she passed on the phone to Sam not wanting to talk to him.

“Hello. Tessa is busy may I know what you want?” Sam gritted his teeth showing his anger in the call with his rough tone.

“Okay I will inform Tessa.” Sam replied and disconnected the call and handed over the phone to Tessa.

I had the urge to ask what made him cool down at the end of the call but brushed it  away thinking that it wasn’t necessary for me to know it. When we went back to Sam’s place Tessa was about to leave when Sam called out to her and said he wanted to tell her something. Even though he was acting calm with Tessa I could feel there is something wrong because he would never sound this calm until there is a storm behind his calmness.

“Tessa, do you remember the call you received in the park and I picked it up?” Sam questioned.

“Yes Sam. If you are going to talk about Henry I guess I have to leave because I’m least interested to know about it.” Tessa got up to leave.

“Tessa, Henry cut his hand. His best friend had called from his number to let you know about it.” Sam replied making Tessa and I freeze at the spot.

‘Why would he cut his hand? Is he mad? Was he r***d or what?’  I thought.

‘How stupid of you? Why would he get r***d when he is a r****t?’ My conscience mocked me.

‘However that is true but why would he cut his hand? Maybe this is a part of his play to make another woman or a girl fall for his trap. Son of a bitch.’ I thought.

Tessa’s POV:

“Tessa, Henry cut his hand. His best friend had called from his number to let you know about it.” Sam replied making Fio and I freeze at the spot.

‘What the? Did I hear Sam right? Or was I dreaming? I really didn’t expect him to do such tricks now!’ I thought.

“Umm. Sam are you really telling me the truth about Henry? I mean…” I asked Sam with an inch of doubt clearly reflecting in my voice.

“Why would I lie to you in the first place and that too about Henry?” Sam asked me.

‘Yes. He has a point. Why would he lie to me about Henry? But why did he have to cut his hand? Is this another trick? Maybe I should go visit him.’ I thought.

“Okay Sam. I will visit him and let you know about this. This is actually weird because he has never done something like this before. I’ll take a leave then. Bye baby sister take care, Bye sam.” I replied walking out of his house.

I called Alaster to find out where Henry is only to know he is at home. I drove down from Sam’s place to his place which is about 10 minutes drive. I just hope this is not another trick. I thought!

Henry’s POV:

‘I knew Alas called Tessa. I asked him not to call her. He is a person who would never listen to me. But I couldn’t accept the fact that Tessa didn’t pick up the call whereas another guy picked up her phone. But why? I know I had made a mistake but that doesn’t mean she would avoid me totally in one night. I need to prove my love to her too now. God what have I done?’ I thought.

“Hey Henry.” Tessa greeted me formally.

‘So now she is even become formal to me. Crap!’ I thought.

“Hello Tessa. How is Fio?” I asked her only to be glared by her which surely freaks me out.

“So yeah! Tell me about your new plan!” She asked me.

‘What is the plan she is asking about?’ I thought.

“Tessa? I didn’t get what you said. Please tell me what you mean by what is your new plan?” I air quoted the words and asked her.

“Don’t show me your act Henry. I’m sure that you have cut your hand to make another woman fall in your trap! Isn’t this old? It’s easy for me to find out lies Henry.” She told me calmly.

‘God she thought I wanted to go behind another woman and so was this act of cutting my hand. Hold cows! I never realized I could see this side of Tessa which would be this mean! I’m sure I’ve rubbed the wrong side.’

“Tessa, you wouldn’t trust me and I know I lost your trust. But I couldn’t accept the fact that Fio cut her hand because of me. I am not there with her to bear her pain but I thought I should go through the pain for what I did to her. That is why I cut my hand.” I replied truthfully to Tessa. Her eyes went like saucers.

“What did you say? Did you just say you cut your hand for Fio?” She asked me and I nodded.

“Henry, are you out of your senses? I only thought you would keep her happy. But you r***d her, spoilt her happiness and now you cut your hand because she hurt herself. Are you seriously in love with her or are you just playing the fool here? I never expected you to do this Henry!” She gasped and sighed after she finished her lecture.

“Tessa, I didn’t know how to make her accept me, but I wanted to prove my love to her. I would do anything and will stay away from her.” I smiled letting her know that I’m being honest.

She gasped and then replied “I don’t know Henry. I am not going to involve myself in this. I’m sorry. Take care Henry, I got to leave now.” She replied giving me a hug and left.

‘I’m sorry Fio I know the pain you’re facing physically but I understand the pain you’re going through mentally! I would do anything to make it up to you baby. I love you Fio.’ I thought taking my pain killers to put me to sleep.
