Chapter 5

Zeke’s pov

Leaving Penny’s room started to feel like a bad idea even with the witches potions I could still smell her arousal and that only made Tyson claw and pace in my mind. I want to go back there and ravish her until she can’t walk but at last I have to be the responsible one.

I reach my room and have a quick shower, I scrub my body hard with a strong smelling body wash to hide Penny’s scent as much as Tyson whined it must be done for her safety. My parents can’t know she’s my mate just yet, not until I know she’s safe.

After the shower I quickly get changed into fresh clothes and make my way down to the living room.

“You and your brother have some explaining to do. You can’t just leave during your welcome home party. You have 5 seconds to explain young man.” My mother approached me with a scowl in her face almost identical to Xan’s.

“I’m sorry mum, we haven’t been home in so long or around she wolves in so long, that when we smelt a hint of Penny’s it just became overwhelming and we had to go to our rooms to calm down.” I say with the sweetest smile on my face. I was always my mother’s favourite and could sweeten her up.

“That girl always has to ruin something.” She rolled her eyes, as I gritted my teeth.

“Anyway mum I was wondering if we couldn’t move our alpha ceremony to tonight?” I look at her with big pleading eyes.

“That’s a little soon honey, we have alphas coming from all over and they won’t be here until tomorrow.”

“We can still have the big official ceremony but Xan and I have been waiting and working so hard for this and we want it to be special for our pack to have it just for us for all our members. Don’t we deserve that?” I give her my best puppy dogs eyes as I hold her hand.

“Of course you do my pup. I’ll take care of everything.” She kissed me on my cheek and walked away. Perfect now all we need to do is wait.

Later that evening

Penny’s POV

It was time for my mates alpha ceremony and they begrudgingly left my side to go get ready. Since I couldn’t go because even though it has settled I was still technically in heat and the boys didn’t want anyone to take advantage of me while they were busy. So I am stuck in my room once again but thankfully I can watch the ceremony from my window and show them my support.

Soon music starts to signify the start of the ceremony. I grab my blanket and make myself comfy in front of the window, I watch as the boys walk onto the stage in their matching black suits and hair combed back.

I can’t wait to rip them off. Zeeyna says in my mind purring. I can’t help but agree with her there.

As they reach the middle of the stage I caught them having a quick glimpse at me and I can’t help but smile. I’m so proud of them not as my mates but as my family. I grew up with them and they have always protected me and others in the pack. Seeing them standing there taking their oaths to protect the pack I couldn’t help but let a tear fall down my cheek. They were born to be alphas.

As the ceremony was ending the boys faced the pack and let out a howl, causing everyone to throw their heads back and join in. I was about to join when Zeke caught my eye. His hand was sliding into his pocket and rubbing against something. He slid his hand back out and a little red piece of fabric stuck out. Leaning closer to try and figure what it was, I froze, that bastard has my red thong that I gifted to him in my haze in his pocket! My face goes red as our eyes meet and he gives me a quick wink. That wolf will be the death of me! How can Xan let him bring it. My question was quickly answered as Zeke slips my thong into Xan’s pocket before exiting the stage. THESE WOLVES!

As the after party drags into the night I continue to sit by the window sometimes watching the other members dancing and sometimes just sitting , reading or thinking. I’m still worried about tomorrow with the agreement of me being handed to the neighbouring alpha. What if Xan and Zeke couldn’t help me and I was forced to leave. Tears escaped and ran down my cheek at the thought, I was deep in the thought that I can’t realised the 2 pair of arms that hard wrapped around me tightly, securely and comfortingly.
