CARAMIA: I drink in the wide-eyed gazes glued to me in an eerie combination of shock and horror. Too soon, I told them too soon! They weren’t ready for this! Not in the midst of a power struggle. What was I thinking?  "You did the right thing, Caramia. They needed to know.” My wolf’s voice whispers in the back of my mind, surprisingly calm, soothing even. As my eyes drift from face to face I realize I’ve lost sight of Rex, but just as I whip my head around to see where he is I feel teeth sink into the back of my neck. My wolf reacts on instinct and I immediately lose control. Before he can anchor his teeth in my flesh she whips her head down and out of his grasp, ripping out a sizable piece of fur from his chest as she goes. She jolts away, mouth dripping with a gory piece of skin now
