The sound of loud music filled the dorm room as everyone danced and chatted. I stepped into Charles's dorm, avoiding the gazes of others. I wore a white crop top with a green plaid jacket tied to my waist and short shorts. My hair was dyed blue in long curly waves. I could see Charles, (Rizzler) Ryan, and Devon in the corner, talking and chatting. Ryan's gaze fell on me, his smile disappearing. He tapped on Charles shoulder and pointed at me before all 3 of them looked at me with a confused look on their faces. I took a deep breath before walking up to their group.
"Hi." I said, my voice a little bit deeper. I needed to be cool. I needed to be Destiny Devine. "Your Charles, Ryan, and Devon right? I'm Destiny from the group chat!" I say with smile.
Charles face lit up with excitement. "Oh! Hey! It's interesting to see you in person." He shook my hand.
"Hey..." said Ryan smiling. "You don't really chat how u look, y'know?"
"I get that alot." I chuckle.
Devon just smiled and looked me up and down before saying "You look a little familiar...have we met?
"Um...n-no...I don't think so..." I mumble as I scratch the back of my neck.
"Welcome to the party." said Charles, smiling from ear to ear. "That's DJ...he's dealing with the music right now..." he pointed at DJ, who's messing with the speakers. Christina and Georgia than walked up to us. Christina is wearing a sparkly, blue dress and Georgia is wearing a strapless red dress.
"And...this is Christina, the cheer captain. This is Georgia, the president of the art club."
Georgia did a silent "hi..." before Christina butt in and said "And who are you?"
"I'm Destiny, from the group chat!"
Her defensive face went away. "Oh! Hiii~ It's nice to meet you!" she paused as she studied me closely. "Um...why do you look so...familiar?"
"w-what do you mean??" I fiddled with my fingers behind my back. "I don't remember seeing you at all..." I say. "Maybe your confusing me with someone else..."
"Hm. Maybe you're right." she mumbled. "Hiii, Devon!" She smiled as she acted all shy, batting her eyelashes.
"Hey, Kristy...w-why don't you go dance with Ryan." He pushed Ryan in front of him. "He'd LOVE to hang and talk to you."
"Heyyy, Christina!" said Ryan, smiling. She scoffed before dragging him to the dance floor.
