DYLAN
This is maybe the new beginning of my life. I already found the one that I know will never leave me and will love me even in the worst time of my life. I am very proud of her because she survived being with me in 8 years even though I am not the best guy for her.
I hear three knocks on the door before it opened and see her peeking at me through the reflection of the mirror.
"Are you ready, Dylan?" Tammy asked, walking towards me. I look at her while I'm adjusting my neck tie.
"I'm more than ready" she smiled at me and do my neck tie.
"No, you're not. You don't even know how to finish your necktie" I smirk and patted her hair with my two hands.
"Because I know you will do it for me... You already look like my wife. I'm excited to see you wearing your wedding gown while I'm waiting for you walking towards me in our wedding day." after she adjusted my necktie, she touched my face, smiling.
I hear knocks on the door again and see Brian entering directly. He is my best friend and will be the best man of our wedding. He walks toward us so Tammy consciously removed her hand on my face while Brian wrapped her arms around my neck.
"What is it that takes you so long, man?" Brian sarcastically asked.
"It's... None of your business" I removed his hand from me and wear my grey top coat.
"The engagement party is almost starting, I'll wait for you outside" Tammy said and go away from us. I look at the mirror again and fixed my not so curly hair.
"So, do you really want to continue this wedding? If you do this there's no turning back, man" I already know what will happen to me but every time I hear this question sometimes it still bother me.
"I am going to marry Tammy whatever may happen, she is already the one and I don't want to let her go anymore. I can't find any girl that just look like her. She cares for me and love me more than I could ever imagine. I know you can also see that, right?" he doesn’t answer me and just nod at me smiling. We both go outside the room and go down the stairs and to the event place. The party is like what I really planned. The music is not too loud but the pop song that was played makes me feel excited. The light is not too dark and the cleanliness of the place feels so warm. Also, the smile of all the guests in the party is contagious.
I saw my mother and father talking to my future mother and father in laws. I wave at them when they see me after a second. I walk towards them feeling excited and leave Brian for a while.
"Are you having a good time, uncle?" I asked Mr. Villamor, father of Tammy.
"Of course, Dylan and, please don't call me "uncle" anymore. You will soon be my son" we all laughed.
"Okay... Dad" we laughed again while dancing to music and drinking their wine. I feel happy and welcome inside. I already feel like I am part of Tammy's family even though we are not yet married. This is the family that I dream for.
"Mom, do you know where is Tammy?" I whispered to my mother.
"I think, I saw her going outside" she answered.
"Okay, mom" I said "excuse me, moms and dads. I'll just look for Tammy" I excused myself from them and walk outside the event room. I still don't know why Tammy is not in the event when she said she'll wait for me. She also don't entertain other guests, this is just not her.
While, I'm searching for her walking through the corridors, I see her heading back to the event with Brian.
"Tammy" I called her and run towards her. "What are doing here?"
"I'm actually getting some fresh air and I see her outside so I invited her to go back" Brian said.
"I am actually waiting for someone. He said he's on his way. He is one of my closest cousins and I don't want him to miss this party" she explained.
"Then, we should wait for him."
"I'll go back inside and leave you both" Brian said before he walks away. I hold Tammy's hand while we slowly walk outside. She really looks so serious but I think she just feel bored.
Nobody talks while we are waiting and standing outside. She is really quite in person but not this much. I feel like she is thinking for something and she was being anxious about it because of her sighing for almost three times in a minute. She let go of my hand and I saw her wiping her palm in her dress because of sweat.
"Are you okay?" I finally asked her. She looked at me and smiles awkwardly.
"Of course, I'm just feeling nervous for some reasons" she answered.
"What is it?"
"It's... Because I don't feel confident to stand up in stage later" I chuckled and slowly hugged her while patting her hair.
"I'm here by your side so you don't need to worry. You also have handsome boyfriend so just be confident and trust me." I said and hear her laugh.
"I wish I also have that too much confident of yours" I face her again and kiss her forehead.
"Now, I'm giving you my energy of confidence" I said and hugged her again.
"He's here" I let go of her and look at the blue car that was driving towards the entrance gate. I really feel their closeness because of the excitement that Tammy gives while waiting for her cousin.
The car stops in front of us and I see a tall man walking towards us. Tammy run and hugged him the moment he see him.
"For you, Congratulations" he gives bouquet of roses on Tammy, smiling.
"Hi, I'm Dr. John Rain Villamor, just call me Rain. I heard so much about you, Dylan" he said while doing shake hands in me.
"Thank you" I said.
The moment I let go my hand to him I feel an unexplainable static energy that flows all over my body. I look at his expression and I think we both have same feeling wondering where it came from. I look at my hand and begin to feel nervous about it. I just think that something bad will happen.
