The Mad New World through my eyes

The world has gone mad is what I think. Many things have changed starting in the year 2020. Starting from that year new viruses, global warming, deforestation, and low oxygen levels hit the human population badly. One of the viruses that started this was the COVID-19 virus. This one virus was just the start to the many. Some were similar to the plague that ran through England once. Then there were labs that actually made a mistake while trying to make a cure made a virus instead.That leaf to lots of people dying. Many other such things happened and the human race was affected the most. Due to the mistakes of humans over time the human population was declining at a rapid rate. The leaders from around the world gathered scientist to figure out a solution. Some worked on trying to regrow the forest. Some tried to lower the vehicles through train systems. They also tried solar power to reduce the effects of gas to housing. The only problem was they were only slightly helpful. They took many years discussing many ideas to recover humanity. In the process of discussions and scientist discovered that animal's were copping to the change in the environment and viruses better than humans. That seemed like the best solution at the time. The scientist decided to combine the genes of animals with human genome for humans to survive in the future. Scientist worked hard for many years experimenting with different types of animal genes. There were lots of failures over the years. Finally a break in the experiment with combining the genes came through. The scientist continued to make several different species for the human race to continue. The animals that they successfully combined to humans were birds, cats, dogs, lizards,and certain fish species. They gave names to the different races for their species characteristic traits. The bird race was named Avion. The cat race was named Leon's. The dog race was named Werewolves. The lizard race was named Dragonets. And the fish race was named Merfolk. Of course there is still humans living in the world just very few in numbers. The majority of the world now consists of the other races and humans are considered to be rare to see. Along with the new races our technology has become better. Now when someone get hurt and lose a limb. Hospitals will replace it with cyber genetic material. The limbs are robotic with nano building skin that repairs itself if damaged. The different races have rebuilt most environments to suit their race. The Avion race live in most regions around the world except for desert areas. They tend to be vegetarians and eat insects. There are two type of Avion that you'll see. The first look like harpies. They have human heads, arms like birds, body of a human, tail like a bird on their backs above the butt and legs half human half bird. The second had a head like a bird, wings out of their backs, body like a human, tail above their butts, human hands and legs. The Avion race can talk like humans or talk to birds that live around them. Its very neat to watch. The Avion race have a unique dance for mating season in the spring. The Avion race also had the highest birthing of children out of all the races. They could give birth to 3 to 6 children every year. The good thing about this was that they were very fertile. The bad was that most of the other races hunted the Avion race to eat. The Avion race could fly even though they were just about the same height as the average person. The Avion were famous for making deliveries pretty quickly if it was light weight. Most of the Avion were quick to travel since they could just go over housing no problem. They made their living by doing this. Occasionally some of the Avion would go missing due to getting eaten by the carnivores. This was normal everywhere in the major cities. The Leon race have two types of looks to them. The first is that they have cat ears to their head, but look human in the face with long fangs. There body is slim but looks human. They have a cat's tail above the butt. They have human arms but their fingers have claws for nails. The leg's are more human in look but have claws for toenails. The second is that they look like a cat that stands on his hind legs. The only difference is that the hands look human even if their entire body is covered in fur. The second ones take pride in having beautiful fur while the first ones love their beautiful eyes and nails. The Leon race also have two types of personalities that are common to them. The first are that they seek attention from people and are very mischievous. The second is that they are lazy and like to stay in solitude most of the time during the day. The one thing that is common between the two types is that they all love the night better than the day. The night is when they are most active and do a lot of work. They tend to hunt down the Avion to eat or trade for fish. They can also get addicted to catnip sometimes and need to be reminded to go easy on it. Some add it to their food or drink's to relax. Just like regular cats they tend to love playing with toys that move. they love climbing trees and sharping their claws regularly. The Leon are also very flexible and athletic when they choose to be. So sometimes certain types of jobs pop up and they fit perfectly for them. One such is a rescue department for lost animals or kids. They have a knack for being good at getting in all kinds of places. The Leon race has a mating season once every two years. They can give birth to 1 or 2 children at that time. They mostly only have about one child though. The Leon race all have their heat's at about the same time during the spring. But they don't go into heat unless they have a partner. The werewolves have two types of looks just like the other races. The first is that they have a wolf or dog feature to their head. Depending on what the breed of dog they were depended on the look they took after. The body looked human covered in fur. They have tails above the butt. The second type looked human with a half dog like nose. They have the ears of a dog. Their body looks like a human, but bulky. They have a dog's tail above the butt. They have a little bit of fur on the arms to shoulder area. Another thing that the werewolves have is a highly sensitive nose. They tend to stay away from strong smells. Things they like to strong perfume or sewers where it really stunk. The werewolves are really loyal and honest people. The tend o only have one partner for life unless one died. They would search for another after a while. Their breeding season came twice a year Aron spring and fall. They don't usually have children when they start to mate. Instead they usually have one child every other year. I'm guessing it was a good thing so that they won't over populate the world. The werewolves have a strong drive to work fiscal labor. They tend to have a lot of energy. To release the built up energy they do a lot of exercise. Or labor hard jobs to have a calmer demeanor to them. Many of the other races are happy about this trait. The Dragonets are a fierce race. They love to hunt and fight amongst themselves. They live in harsh desert or tropical areas. They enjoy this environment because they are a cold blooded race. Some of them are vegetarians but very few. They have two types of looks. The first is that they have a head like a lizard, body of a human, and a tail like a lizard. They also look very colorful because of their scales. The second tend to look all human except for their teeth and nails. They also have bright yellow green eyes and colorful skin and scales. Even their hair can be multiple different colors. They mate once every 10 years. When they do they have around 3 to 6 children at a time. They are also a slow growing race. So it takes them time to become an adult. It takes about three times the years than humans age. The Merfolk live in two different places. They live in freshwater and saltwater areas. They tend to sell fish or sea food to the other races. They are also very crafty and make lots of jewelry from shells. They have two types of body shapes as well. The first is that they look like mermaids from legends. They are colorful like koi or tropical fish. The second look to be like humans in body. Their fingers and feet have webs. They have gills on the side of their necks. They can breathe in and outside of the water for both types. Like the first type they are also very colorful and they both have fish scales to their bodies. They eat plants and fish in the areas they live. The are also a slow growing race. They mate once every two years. They have a low birth rate. So whenever they do have children they celebrate their birth with a festival. The changes to the world have been better. We ride horses instead of vehicles or travel by train in the larger cities. All these changes have happened in a five hundred and sixteen year span since the year 2020. Now experience the world through my eyes as I try to find my uncle, experience several emotional hurdles, and hopefully a girl along the way. By the way, my name is Zero, I'm 18 years old. The handsome young man with black hair, blue eyes, and mild buffed body. I've only known my parents and my parents best friend Mr. Riker. All while growing up on the out skirts of town. Didn't have any friends since we lived far from town. I was home schooled, so I didn't have a chance to meet other people my age. All I really had was my parents for company. Every once in a while Mr. Riker would come and visit for a few days. I knew people looked different from us because of Riker. Dad took me to town only when needed to avoid people. At that time I didn't understand why we had to cover up the top of our heads. Later when I asked my mom I found out why. She told me how we are different and how some of the other races treated us. It was hard on me at first to see we were different and weren't treated nice if found out. Soo I was to learn the harshest lesson about people.
