NOAH'S POV
As we are getting dressed I couldn't help but be a little upset my brother would just walk into my room knowing Shelly was in here without knocking. I mean I know there is nothing going on between them but they are going to be 18 this coming June and I am not crazy about my little brother seeing her without any clothes on. I have always hated it now more so than before. Plus I don't think this is appropriate anymore. All of a sudden she looks at me and says "stop it, Noah, I know what you are thinking. Your mom told us that we are not children anymore and changing in front of each other is inappropriate so now I just change in the bathroom. It makes it easier so he can check on me to make sure I am ok and not passed out on the floor" I walk up to her wrap my arms around her waist and say "busted how could you tell" "you were getting a little furrow in your forehead and your eyes were getting darker just like they did when you would catch a guy checking me out or hitting on me" I chuckle and say "I forget how well you know me, let's go before they send out the posy."
As we sit at the dinner table Lee just looks at us and shakes his head. "Will nothing stop you to from being gross Noah" we look at each other and I say "sorry to disappoint you the only thing that will stop me is if the Dr. say's to" All of a sudden Shelly looks at me and says "I have a check-up tomorrow with the OB you want to come I would like you to. You..."I press my finger to her lips and say "shh Shelly there is no need to sell me on it I would love to go. I want to be there to hold your hand, hear our baby's heartbeat, and hear what the Dr. says we can or can't do." Just what I wanted her cheeks just turned that adorable pink they do when she is embarrassed. My mom took one look at her and says "Elle are you OK you look a little flushed" Lee snorts "Your son embarrassed her because he wants to ask the Dr. if they can be gross" "Lee come one Rule #2" My mom looks at me raises her eyebrow at me when she looks at Shelly I mean she really looks at her I jump up "what mom what's wrong" she waves me away and says "nothing absolutely nothing. There is our girl I have missed you. Mathew, come here our Elle is back." My dad comes walking out, looks at Elle and says "yes, there she is, do you realize how much we have missed that sparkle Elle" it was then I realized how much she was hurting when she let me go. I looked around the table and stood up "I have an announcement to make Elle and I were talking and she mentioned how you all thought it would be a good idea that she attend UCLA so she can be close to family and a strong support system." I look around the table and everyone is nodding "good, I agree with all of you. That is why I don't care what any of you say I am transferring to UCLA. I can't go back I missed Shelly to much and if we are going to build a family together we need a strong support system close by."
Shelly looks at me with tears streaming down her face "Noah, please don't do this for me I don't want..."I press my finger against her mouth. "I was already thinking of leaving Harvard I missed everyone too much I struggled every day. If you don't believe me here is my phone call Nestor he will tell you. All I talked about from the first day I got there was how I wanted to come home. I didn't like it there. I missed my parents, I missed Lee, I missed riding down the strip, I missed the beaches and most of all I missed you. I am too much of a California boy to enjoy the east. I only went to make you and my parents proud of me but I can do that here helping you raise our child, getting an education building us a home.
