Chapter 3: She is mine

Watching my people from the window of my room, her face suddenly appeared in my mind. I went to my table, took my glass and drank it to erase that woman from my head. I can still feel the scar she left in my heart and in my mind. That woman will pay for what she did to me. I will never stop looking for her and if I need to use her loved ones, I will do it. She just makes my life miserable. Damn it.
“Ares.”
I put down the wine glass to see Aaron, who had just arrived at my office.
“Any information about her, Aaron?”
Aaron, my alpha brother, let out a deep breath. He crossed his arms and leaned his body against the door. I shook my head and was about to go back to my swivel chair when he spoke up.
“I couldn't find her anywhere, Ares. We should stop looking for her because it's been a year already. She's gone and there's nothing you can do about it.”
My eyes darkened, holding the wine glass tightly. I just don't like Aaron's words.
“Don't stop, Aaron. I need you to find her and if you need to scan the world, just f*cking do it. Bring her to me because we have a lot of things to discuss.”
I remained calm. I don't want to get mad and no one will like it. No one wanted to see me mad, nor me. I am uncontrollable.
“What if she's dead?”
The wine glass that I was holding suddenly flew away in Aaron's direction. My teeth were gritted as I ran to where he was standing. Holding him both in his shoulders, I slammed him against the wall while my face was so close to him.
“You are my brother, but if you pissed me off, it would be the end of our solidarity. You know me when I'm mad, Aaron. Just don't try me.”
I let go of him and returned to where I was earlier. Aaron let out a deep breath.
“I was just worried about you, Ares. You should let her go. Forget about that girl, and you know that there are a lot of girls here. You have a lot of women, but why is it hard to forget about her? To forget about your ex?”
I grit my teeth in annoyance. Aaron was pissing me off. Asshole.
“How could you forget the girl who left you with scars? Just follow my instructions to you. Don't stop looking for her. I need to see her, talk to her, and make her pay for making my life miserable. Now, if you have nothing to say, then leave before I forget that you're my brother.”
Aaron had no choice but to nod his head. I was confused when he didn't follow me and when I was about to say something, he spoke up.
“I know you can't forget about your first love, but I have something for you, Ares. You will probably want her by your side if you see her face.”
I furrowed my brows. Aaron walked in my direction, showing his phone to me. My eyes widened when I saw a picture of a girl and then a smirk just formed on my lips.
“Bring her to me, Aaron. Do whatever you need to do. Just bring her to me and don't let her go.”
Aaron just smirked. I can't stop shaking my head.
“Will you forget your first love when I bring this girl to you?”
I furrowed my brows, my head shook just because of Aaron.
“Just bring her to me.”
Aaron nodded his head. He left my office, so I went back to what I was doing. I just can't stop thinking about the girl I saw on the phone. The moment I saw her face, she suddenly made my day.
I took my phone from my pocket and dialed the number of the girl's family. Her father answered.
“Hello, Mr. Woodley. You didn't mention that you still have another daughter. I can't believe you're hiding it from me.” I uttered in a warning tone.
Mr. Woodley lets out a deep breath which makes my brows furrow.
“Ares, my daughter was facing a lot of trouble. You can't have her because she's about to die. She killed her boyfriend.”
I tilted my head, hands turned into fists.
“What's her name?”
The man I was talking to from the other side couldn't help but gasp. He didn't expect that I would ask his daughter's name instead of reacting to what he had just said.
“Raquel. Raquel Woodley, Ares.”
I hung up the phone right after I got the answer from Woodley.
“Raquel, huh.”
I went out of my office to find Aaron. That man needs to do something for me. I found him in the parking lot area, and it was perfect timing because he was about to leave.
“Ares?”
Aaron was surprised to see me. I threw the credit card to him, and he was able to catch it as soon as possible.
“Take that because you need it. I want you to go to the Moonlight Pack, take Raquel. Don't come back without her by your side. She's currently under investigation because she killed her boyfriend. You have to rush or everything will be late.”
Aaron just keeps on smirking. I know he didn't expect that I wouldn't be this hooked on a girl I hadn't met before. He knows the reason behind it. Aaron knew that I would get interested in her because of her face and because of her connection.
“I will take good care of your girl, Ares. Don't worry because you'll have her as soon as possible. Just relax, dude.”
I shook my head while my arms crossed. Knowing Aaron, I know he can get everything. I have trust in my brother. He knew what he was doing. Aaron will have Raquel and I can't wait to see her. I can't wait to show her who I am.
“You will not hurt her, Aaron. Bring her to me in good condition. If I knew that you forced her, I would kill you, man!”
My brother couldn't stop himself from laughing. He just stopped when I glared at him.
“Okay, okay. You can count on me. I will not force her. You have nothing to worry about because I'm a good man. I know how to handle girls.”
Nodding my head, I felt calm. Aaron and my men went inside the car. They were about to leave the pack when I forgot to remind him of something. A reminder that Aaron should never forget because he knows me. I am an Alpha King and everyone obeys me or else, they will regret it for the rest of their lives.
“What?” He asked.
“Don't do anything stupid. You are not going to touch her, Aaron.”
Aaron was confused, although he knew what I was trying to say. That man loves acting.
“Why?”
Shaking my head, I moved my face closer to him.
“Don't ask. Just remember… She is mine.”
And I walked away leaving all of them in awe.
