“I think I’m going to look for Jeremy.” I say out loud to no one in particular.
Wandering about I see all these people some I know some I don’t know so I assume they must be from the visiting pack. A lot of unmated wolves. I can tell by the way some of the visiting wolves are looking at the ladies that they are hoping they find their mates here too. It is not unheard of. One time after the mating season a group of visitors were wandering around as they came here on a peace treaty and in the Alpha’s house one the representatives found his Mate who happened to be one of the women in the Luna’s court. Daphne I think was her name, the guys name was Kish. He took her to his own pack because when you mate you join with the man go with his people, you become his own. Except the man wants to stay with you and your people which is very rare.
I have always been fascinated with the concept of finding my mate.
The whole mating things works like this, at least according to what Emily and Mama told me. That it is like your whole body is pulling you in one direction, to someone and all you have to do is to follow the voice. It is leading you to your future and that when the feeling comes I am going to know.
I find Jeremy behind the field at a fountain. As I approach i notice his mother leave. I get there and I see his face. He looks angry and reconciled.
“Hi, what are you doing here? I have been looking all over for you where did you go?” I ask.
He finally looks at me. It is as if his eyes clear up and he is seeing me for the first time.
