Daniel was an above average person, but he didn't have any special talents, rather he has a single special ability that was common, but not used often. His stats were rather plain with it though.

He only was good at learning things he found interesting, and dealing with illness, though lack of understanding caused him to have some chronic problems.

He is 19 now, and finally getting his s**t together when suddenly His world got turned upside down, welcome to my story.
-----On an Average Day-----
I was just working my normal shift, 6:45AM to 10:45AM at Old Town Coffee Company in California, when I got the notification in my system.
'Welcome to skill evolution, would you like a tutorial?'
[Accept/Deny]
"Well I'll be, Mr. White, I just got a notification about a tutorial, have you gotten one while working here?"
I asked my manager as he prepped some food as I came back from giving a customer their food.
"No, not yet."
He said in his usual to the point fashion, so I respond.
"Ok, I'm going to take my 10 to look at this Tutorial then, see what the heck is going on with it."
I take a moment to sit down out front on the patio to the café on the bench and accept the tutorial.
'You may evolve skills you have maxed out, Combining some, and Changing others, your current possible Skill Evolutions are 'General Cleaning' and 'Drink mixing' into 'Advanced Deep Cleaning' and 'Drink Artist'.'
I smile as my two skills I maxed out today can be evolved past what I heard was possible, my coworkers not having an evolved skill. Yet also having maxed skills, I hoped I would be able to surpass them with this.
I accepted both the evolutions of the skills excitedly, only to find out that the evolved skills level one, were the same as my Maxed skills, so I would not surpass them yet, but in time with lots of training.
"I asked for an iced Cappuccino not an iced latte."
A woman says irritated with her own lack of understanding as Marrisa says calmly to her.
"An iced latte and an iced Cappuccino are the exact same because we can't steam the milk or make the foam with it, if you would prefer we can make you a hot one instead."
The woman is irate but let's it go.
"Fine, but next time You better tell me that ahead of time."
The woman customer says as she takes her drink and leaves.
"Quite a rude rush today."
I comment before chuckling to myself as I head back inside to finish off my day at work. I worked diligently using 'Advanced Deep Cleaning' hoping to level it up by the end of the day. Unfortunately for me I did not even get half as much skill EXP needed to level up once. I did however witness something rather bizarre, an attempted robbery of our tip jar, a retired police officer had walked in as the thief attempted to run out only for the thief to stop at the retired officer called out, "Stop it!", however the thief did not stop of their own accord, they were suddenly held in place as a nearby patrolling officer drove up to get their usual weekly order. What we all noticed was that the retired officer looked tired and weak after calling out for the thief to stop seemingly forcing the thief to stop without touching them or even being near them.
"Sir did you just cast magic!?"
I couldn't help but exclaim seeing as there were myths and legends about magic in the past but nothing concrete until possibly now. Unlike me Mr. White waited until for a while before pulling the retired officer to the side to ask.
"What was that you did, and can I help you?"
Only to have the Retired Officer nod breathing a little heavily and sweating a bit profusely.
