Chapter 6 - Embarrassing me.

“Well talk to him!” Amy said to Parker sternly. “I can’t make Caleb force Blake to reject Kelsi.” Parker said, trying to explain his standing in the pack. “I don’t have that power. Caleb is my friend, he will listen, but neither of us have control over Blake.” Parker crossed his arms. “He’s the alpha!” Amy spat back. “Blake hasn’t been acting like himself.” Jake said sadly. “It’s the mate bond, it can make some people a little more, how do I explain it?” Parker looked at Amy. “Insane?” Amy said and Parker nodded. I just watched them all discuss. I had spent the entire night locked in my room. “Is school really wise?” Jake said, grabbing his lunch. “It’s at least Friday.” I said jumping out of the chair and grabbing my lunch. “I can spend the weekend behind my locked door.” “I’ll talk to Caleb.” Parker sighed. “I couldn’t imagine spending my days locked away.” “Thank you babe.” Amy said before leaning in and kissing his cheek. Jake and I walked out to his car, we got in, and just sat there. “I would rather not go if that’s what you’re thinking as well.” I said and Jake shook his head. “One more unexcused absence and they can revoke your application to go to college outside of the pack.” Jake started the car. We drove the short drive in silence and when we pulled up to the school, I sensed him immediately. We got out and Jake walked next to me into the school. “Kelsi!” I heard Jessica’s bubbly voice and turned to her coming down the hall. “You came to school for once.” She said, smiling at me. Jessica is a beauty, long flowing blonde hair, lightly tanned skin, and a face to slay. Her eyes were large and perfectly spaced between her button nose. I used to make fun of her lips to Jake, telling him they were as big as a futon. “I was here the other day.” I said back to her. “We must’ve missed each other then.” She turned to Jake. “Have you seen Blake? I can’t find him anywhere!” She whined and I rolled my eyes. “I haven’t seen him since yesterday.” Jake replied. “I didn’t see him yesterday at all! I heard a rumor that he has a mate bond with someone. I’ve been trying to figure out who this person could be.” Jessica narrowed her eyes and looked around. “Where did you hear that?” I asked with annoyance dripping from my voice. “I heard your mom and his mom talking about it. They got all hush hush when I showed up looking for Blake.” She looked at me. “Do you know?” She asked. “No, I could care less about Blake.” I said walking past her. “Oh I forgot.” She giggled. “Come on Jake! Let’s go.” I heard as I walked to class. I got to the classroom door when suddenly someone put a hand on it. “Move please.” I said, I was still annoyed. “You’re going to go to class without seeing me?” Blake said in an almost whisper. He moved his hand but grabbed my arm so other students could go in. “I don’t think people should see us together. They’ll figure it out and Jessica is already sniffing around.” I looked at him. “What’s wrong with that? Are you ashamed of me?” Blake faked a hurt face. “Yes.” I said and he laughed. “Well I’m not.” Blake’s face got close to mine. “Stop! I don’t want people to know. Once you reject me, people will remind me that this ordeal happened.” I said moving away from him. His hand remained firm on my arm. “I’m not going to reject you.” Blake said straightening back up. “I don’t like when you joke around or tease me!” I said angrily. People had stopped and started to stare. “People are watching.” I glared at him and Blake smiled. He leaned down getting close to me. “Blake NO!” I said sternly. I pushed his chest as his face became inches to mine. Now a lot of people were stopping to see what was going on. I moved my face to look away from his. “Ella.” He whispered. “You’ve had your fun. Let me go now.” I said as I felt his hand on my chin. He forced me to look at him. I felt like I was going to start crying. Blake placed his lips on mine and gasps emitted around us. My body relaxed until we parted ways. I was overcome with anger, as the whispers around us grew. “You’re such a d**k!” I yelled. He let me go and started to laugh as I walked into class. I refused to answer anyone’s questions as the day went on. All I knew was that I had to hide from Jessica during lunch. The amount of questions she was going to bombard me with were going to kill me. It was raining today so most people stayed inside anyway. I went out to the side of the building where not many people would go. It was mostly an area where teachers used to go to smoke. Now it was just used as an after school hang out for the nerdy kids who stayed after school to talk about school. I stopped mid bite of my sandwich and sighed. I looked over as Blake came out of the door and walked over. He sat across from me at the picnic table and just stared. “What?” I asked flatly. “Nothing.” Blake said back. “I’m not going to eat while you stare at me.” I glared at him. “Well then I guess you’ll have to starve.” Blake smiled his evil grin. “Why are you toying with me?” I asked as I stuffed everything back into my lunch bag. “Why do you think that?” Blake said in a playful way. “No matter how much I resist, you proceed or how about humiliating me in front of a bunch of my classmates? It’s like I’m your little play thing and I’m done. Just do the rejection so we can go back to our normal lives.” As I talked he rested his chin on his palm. “No, I don’t think I will.” Blake said with a quick smile. “What’s your plan then? Harass me forever?” I asked. “Well at some point I figure you’ll just accept you’re my mate.” Blake said. “You’re joking.” I said. We proceeded to share an awkward silence. “This is the longest you’ve stayed near me without trying to run away or me having to hold you down.” Blake said happily. “Because I was eating.” I stood up. “Hey, how about we go back to my place and make this thing official.” Blake winked. “Gross.” I started to leave and he grabbed my wrist. “Oh, but you don’t find it so gross when I kiss you.” Blake placed his lips on my hand and a shiver ran up my arm. “Stop! It’s time to go back.” I said and Blake stared at me. “Hold my hand all the way to class and I’ll let you go.” Blake snickered. “You’re trying to embarrass me!” I tried to yank my hand away. He finally let go and I marched off. “See you after school!” He called out as I walked into the building.
