Chapter 28First impressions
Izzie Drake wasn't sure what to make of Charles Crowe, Giles Pearce's chief security officer. As the two men sat opposite her in Andy Ross's office, she decided to take things slowly with the former SAS man. Something about him had set her instincts on edge from the moment he and Pearce greeted her.
“Sergeant Drake,” Pearce smiled, as he shook Izzie's hand. “This is Charles Crowe, who we spoke about yesterday. Charles, meet Sergeant Izzie Drake, who I hope won't mind me introducing her as Detective Ross's strong right arm.”
