Andy Ross was suffering from a case of intense frustration. Interviews with every one of the Alexandra Rose's officers had failed to provide him with the breakthrough he was desperate for. So far, he and Izzie Drake had interviewed First Officer, Patrick Neary, Doctor Hanning, Second Officer Robert Gray, even Captain Gideon had insisted on being interviewed for a second time and he'd also sent the ship's engineer, Bob Simpson to talk to the two detectives. Simpson, who was rarely seen outside the engine room was about as much use to his investigation as a chocolate fireguard, Ross concluded.
“Anybody left?” he asked Drake as he rose and tried to stretch the stiffness and frustration from his limbs and his mind.
