“What nonsense is this Lily?” Klaus blurted out in astonishment while I stood frozen like a statue.
I was at a loss of words or maybe I was unable to speak because my breath caught in my throat, it felt like my ribs had caged in, squeezing every bit of air out.
“I have proof” she continued the torment and brought out a piece of paper from her bag waving it like a flag. Instinctively my hand reached out trembling as I took it from her.
