I had no more tears left to cry.
“You are nothing special”
His words kept echoing in my ears like a haunting melody I couldn’t shake off. What really hurt was that a part of me knew—f**k, I knew he wasn’t wrong.
I was nothing special. I was just a girl who happened to be lucky enough to fall into the arms of the King and fall pregnant. it was as simple as that.
“No Kayla, it’s not” Silver interjected sharply. I jumped a little, still not used to a second voice in my head.
