The sound of a ferocious growl jolted me awake in an empty bed.
Jax's growl was unmistakable as I hurried to the door. Something wasn't right.
Upon entering the hallway, I encountered multiple pack warriors obstructing my path.
“Move,” I snapped, ready to fight through every one of them to get to Jax.
“I’m sorry, Luna, but we cannot allow you outside right now for your protection.” The warrior explained.
“Why the f**k not?” I hissed.
“Alpha’s wolf is feral right now, and it has been determined Beta Alex was the one who caused him to lose control,” the warrior explained.
“Let me out with them now. I will fight you if needed, and I will win, so I suggest you move out of my way.” I yelled as I allowed the fire to spark from my fingertips.
