After putting all her clothes away in the closet, Helena sat daydreaming in her room until there was a knock on the door.
She quickly raised her hand to her face, composed herself, and then went to open the door.
“Mom...”
It was her mother standing behind the door.
“I have something to talk to you about, sweetie.”
Her mother's face was more serious than usual, prompting her to quickly step aside to let her in.
She closed the door behind her and followed her mother inside.
“Mom... Are you going to ask me about moving back to this house?”
“No, it's not that.”
“Then... what is it?”
She helped her mother sit on the edge of the bed while she sat down beside her.
“It's about Mr. Alex.”
Helena's eyes flickered, and she quickly avoided her mother's gaze.
