"You’re totally frozen, staring like that, Carol."
Caroline's upper arm was nudged by the slender finger of her close friend, Rebecca.
Caroline quickly diverted her gaze from the man in the perfectly fitted cream suit who was stepping into a shiny black sports car to look at her friend and managed a smile.
"What are you looking at? It’s nothing at all."
"Oh please, don’t think I didn’t see you ogling that special guest speaker like you wanted to eat him up. If you could actually devour him, that handsome guy would be nothing but bones by now!"
Caroline's cheeks flushed a rosy hue, and she couldn't help but wonder why she had shown so much emotion that Rebecca noticed.
