CHAPTER 36 MISOGYNY The drive back to the Seedling camp was tense and silent. Ramirez reminded her a bit of Victor Ganado, the former jefe of Los Jaguares. Ganado, at one time, had forged an alliance with her father’s motorcycle club. Ganado had been like an uncle to her. She had even called him tío Victor for several years. He had treated her with kindness, offering her little presents whenever she and her father visited his home. She remembered the amazing flavors of his wife’s cooking. But like her father, Ganado was a ruthless d**g kingpin. It had been in Ganado’s junkyard that she’d been mauled by the dog, her face forever scarred.
