CHAPTER 13 ARRIVING AT LUMINOS They drove the rest of the way through town, then continued up 89A through the winding Oak Creek Canyon. Their surroundings were an explosion of intense colors. A deep cerulean sky, unfettered by city haze, contrasted with the rolling hills of the brick-red rock landscape punctuated with the deep green of the ponderosa pines, yucca, and prickly pear cactus.
