CHAPTER 12 NORTH TO SEDONA On Sunday morning, Shea hauled her packed duffel bag into the living room and sat down at the table where Toni had set down chorizo and egg breakfast burritos, with slices of pineapple on the side. “This looks amazing,” Shea said. “Thank you.” “Ay, corazón, I’d do anything for you. You know that.” Toni kissed her gently on the lips. “How’s your leg this morning?” “It’s healing up.” She had only taken one oxycodone pill instead of the usual two, trying to balance treating the pain and being able to drive.
