That evening, after dinner, Shea’s phone rang. “Hey, Doodlebug! How’s it going?” “Oh my god, I’m having so much fun. Everyone is super nice.” Toni poked Shea in the rib. “Put her on speaker.” Shea did so. “¡Hola, mija! ¿Como esta?” Toni called. “¡Hola, tía Toni! I’m having tons of fun. Learning so much it feels like brain’s gonna explode.” “How wonderful! What have you been doing?” “In the morning, we had classes, which sounds boring, but I’m actually loving it.
