After Robyn left, Shea lay on the couch with her legs up, resting on Toni’s lap.
“I don’t get it, babe. Why aren’t the cops doing anything about this Nathan Bennett psycho and his cult?”
Toni paused for a moment, saying nothing at first.
“It’s a tough situation. It pisses me off this pendejo is hurting people. If it were up to me, he and his enablers would spend the rest of their lives rotting in a supermax prison. But even if he’s coercing women into sleeping with him, prosecuting him for s****l assault would be a tough fight.”
