CHAPTER 49 JUSTICE A few weeks later, Shea arrived at Iron Goddess riding her FJR. She was early and no one, not even Terrance or Lakota had arrived. As always, the service bay smelled of rubber, oil, and steel. She’d forgotten how much she missed it. It was a place of new beginnings, fragile with promise. Her first job out of prison had been here. The motorcycle shop of misfit toys, as someone once had dubbed it. A place where broken people with tarnished pasts could build a new life. Not everyone made it. Some of the addicts and ex-cons she’d hired had relapsed into old habits. But a good percentage stayed straight and clean.
