Chapter 12

It is 7:30am on a Monday. I get myself ready for the last day of school until graduation four days later. Eddy, Brandon, and Melody are all up eating breakfast as I enter the kitchen.

Me: Good morning, everyone

Everyone: Good Morning

Mel: Good morning mi hermana. I left your breakfast in the microwave so it won't get too cold.

Me: Thanks Mel

As I make my way around the kitchen. Brandon comes up behind me giving me a kiss on the side of my head.

Brandon: Why are you all smiles this morning?

Me: I graduate in four days so technically today is my last day of school.

Brandon: Okay, do you want me to drive you to school?

Me: Yeah, that would be nice

As we all finish breakfast, me, Mel, and Eddy jump into Brandon's car. He drops me off first since I go to a different school then heads off. As I enter the school gates I see Eve.

Me: Good morning

Eve: Good morning, I'm so happy today is our last school day I can't wait to get out of this hell hole

Me: I know how you feel

Eve: So who dropped you off today?

Me: Brandon

Eve: As in karate Romeo crush Brandon

Me: Yep

Eve: ouuuu spill the deats

I tell Eve everything that went on from being r***d, hospitalized, to dating and living with Brandon, and etc.

Eve: I hope they catch that son of a b***h but at least you have some type of protection to keep you safe.

Me: Yea

Eve: How was the s*x? Is he good in bed

Me: It was mind blowing

As we continue to talk, the school bell rings and we part our separate ways and head to class. As the day goes on. It seems like time flies by and school is over. As soon as I walk towards the gate I see Brandon waiting for me.

Me: Heyy, how was school?

Brandon: It was good, what about you?

Me: It was good

As we continue to talk, Brandon helps me in the car and drives off. I realize that Brandon looks a little worried which kinds of make me feel at unease.

Me: what's wrong?

Brandon: umm don't worry about it I will tell you later

Me: Brandon tell me now. What's wrong? What happened?

Brandon: We got a call from the cops today and they cannot find Sergio. They told us they are not stopping the search for him but they just wanted to warn us to keep us up to date.

As Brandon said those words a million things are going through my head. Where could he possibly be? Is he looking for me? Will he come back to get me or will he try to hurt Brandon? As these things run through my head tears began to fall from my eyes. Brandon pulls over the car and looks me in the eyes.

Brandon: I know exactly how you feel and what you are thinking. He will never lay a finger on you or get to you as long as I can help it. I will always protect you and will never let nobody hurt you again.

Me: I know and I trust you.

Brandon: I'm happy to hear that

Brandon kisses my cheek and starts the car and heads home.
