Aurora woke up with a loud yawn due to the sun rays which penetrated through the window into her eyes. She covered her eyes with her palm, and stood up to stretch her arm out widely. She opened the curtain of the window and peered into the distance. It was another bright new day in Shadow rogue pack. She only hoped she would not encounter or come across any form of trouble. She pulled off her dress and walked into the bathroom, quickly brushing her teeth before hopping into the shower to take her bath.

She walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her waist and water dripping from her body. She dried it and applied some body lotion on her flawless skin. After that, she walked toward the large wardrobe in her left side direction, and pulled it open. She brought out a long skirt and blouse, running her hand through the numerous clothes in the wardrobe which were bought by her mate, Adonis. Even though he was dark and uncaring, he made sure to provide whatever she needed. She put on the dress and lay on the bed, placing her delicate head on the soft pillow. Seconds later, a soft knock sounded on the ornate door and she looked up with a groan. Why won't they just let her have rest of mind?

"Who is at the door?" She asked as she stood up from the bed.

"It's me, Tania," the voice said. She rolled her eyes in response and hesitatingly moved to open the door. As she did, she wished she did not have to do so. Especially for this b***h, but she didn't wanna feel the wrath of her mate. For the past two days Tania had been making her life difficult even though she was asked to make her feel comfortable. The girl walked into the room with a sly smile on her face.

"Why are you here?"she asked, glaring at Tania who scoffed.

"To make you feel comfortable and learn your duties in this pack as the Alpha's mate, of course." Tania said with a smirk, and Aurora scoffed back.

"So what am I supposed to do today?" She asked with hatred in her eyes. As much as she didn't need the fakeness, she had to do it as it was the order of her mate and she wouldn't dare disobey him.

"Well, first of all just take a look at yourself." Tania said looking at her and she peered down at her clothes.

"What do you mean?" She asked in confusion.

"What I mean is that you should take it as a habit of wearing skimpy dress rather than wearing this long dress of yours which the alpha can never love. I don't think he can ever love you because you are not his type or taste." Tania said emphasising that last word which almost got Aurora angry but she controlled herself. Tania looked at her with a devious smile, and she just wished she could strangle this being before her to death.

"So what else or are you done?" She asked with a scoff.

"Well...I am not done. I am going to take you round the mansion to know more about the surroundings of the pack since you have locked yourself in the room without getting out." Tania said again, giving her a look. Aurora shuddered, but said nothing. Anytime Tania gave her the look, it meant she wasn't up to any good. She just hoped the b***h wasn't planning anything evil against her like she always does.

"Okay, lead the way," She said, pointing at the door. Tania walked out of the room and she followed behind. The girl took her round different hallways and places in the mansion. The both of them finally stopped in a wide garden filled with different flowers, leaves and trees. Some maids were present in the large garden plucking some herbal leaves into the bowl with their hands.

She looked at Tania as she waved her hand which drew the attention of the maids to their direction. Instinctively, she knew what Tania was about to do was nothing good. She had once done something similar which resulted in Aurora being humiliated by the werewolves and Tania.

"Hey girls, we have the beautiful Alpha's mate in our midst." Tania paused to look around while tactfully ignoring her.

"I have been lecturing her as the future Luna so I want to test her intellectual ability right here." Tania said and the maid's eyes turned to her.

”What are you saying?" She asked silently, looking at Tania who smirked. She tried to control her anger, because she couldn't look foolish in front of the maids.

“Well I want the Alpha mate to cut me the healing leaf in our midst right here in the garden. I believe she knows it already because I have shown her before," Tania said, emphasizing the last statement of her word even though she knew she hadn't shown her anything about it.

She looked at Tania with a nervous look, as she thought about what she had to do. She began to look around in anxiety hoping for a miracle to happen, and her gaze slowly fell on every leaf in the garden. Her eyes stopped at one and she walked toward it as her instinct led her. She bent low and cut it carefully after which she walked toward Tania and stretched it at her.

The lady collected it and laughed out loud after sniffing the leaf. "Ladies guess what?" Tania asked, raising the curiosity of the maids. "She gave me the easy delivery leaves, or do you think the Alpha mate is pregnant?" She asked again which caused an outburst of laughter.

"No, I can't believe she is really the Alpha mate. She doesn't deserve to be." One of the maids snickered in her direction and Aurora looked down in embarrassment. Tears were already forming in her eyes, and Tania saw it as an opportunity to belittle her again.

"Do you hear that? You don't deserve to be the Alpha mate. You can never satisfy a demanding man like your mate, and he only wants to use you as his s*x pet to satisfy his s****l desires. Take my advise to reject the alpha as your mate and get your life back." She said and walked away with pride, swaying her hips.

Aurora stared after her retreating form with hatred and ran through the front passage to her room. As soon as she entered, tears escaped from her eyes. Why did Tania always do mean things? She hated her so much. She was sure the girl had vowed to make her life in the pack worse, especially after Adonis had kept her in charge. It was her duty to make her feel comfortable, learn her duties and fit in, but all Tania did was to make her life a living breathing hell. She always made sure to set her up for failure each time and make her look stupid in front of the other wolves.

She sniffed her nose and wiped her face with the nlback of her hand. She stared at the wall and tried to console herself, her thoughts racing. Adonis must have told Tania something for her to know about them having s*x together. She closed her eyes and fell to the bed as a fresh wave of tears dropped.

The next day, Aurora woke up with a blurry gaze. Her face was pale and her eyes red from the overnight tears. She pulled off her dress and put on the bathroom slipper before walking into the bathroom. She rinsed her face thoroughly before brushing her teeth, after which she entered the bathtub filled with warm foaming water. She quickly cleaned her body with a fragrance soap and rinsed it with the water. When she was done, she stood up from the bathtub and wrapped a soft towel around her waist. She walked out of the bathroom and quickly dried her body.

She has made up her mind to follow Tania's advice and reject the Alpha as her mate. Not that she took the b***h's words seriously, but because she had seen how she was with the Alpha. It seemed like she was also in love with him which was most likely the reason why the girl hated her, but still something else kept ringing in Aurora's head. There was no way Tania made those words up and it was obvious the Alpha told her about them having s*x.

She opened the wardrobe and took out a blue skimpy gown. She thought about wearing it but at the last moment, she hissed and threw the gown away. Why did she need to look beautiful and sexy for that f*****g mate of hers? He never cared about her feeling or emotion, all he knew was to use her to satisfy his s*x desire.

Instead, she brought out a long blue ball gown and put it on. She turned to the mirror and smiled, looking at her beautiful reflection. After a few minutes, she would be finally free. She walked out of the room and passed the route of the hallway leading to Alpha Adonis office. When she got to the door, she heaved a sigh as she felt his deadly aura on her and she lost courage.

On the other side, Alpha Adonis was sitting on a richly made swivel chair, and he was dressed in a wine coloured suiy which further accentuated his love for red. He absently looked through the file on his table and after a moment, his phone rang out loudly. He immediately reached for it and looked at the phone screen, his face twisting into a deep frown. It was an unknown number, however he swiped the answer icon and placed it on his ear.

"Good morning Alpha Adonis," a male voice said from the other side of the call.

"Morning. Who are you and how do you know me?" He asked coldly even though he knew that his name had spread everywhere. A smirk crossed his features. Who didn't know of the almighty Alpha Adonis?

"I'm Fredrick, the beta of the Silver bane pack," the guy said with a trace of fear in his voice. The Silver bane pack was one of the biggest packs in which most of the meeting of the Alphas are hosted.

"Okay. How can I help you?" Adonis asked again.

"Well, a conference would be hosted in our pack for the Alphas and you are highly invited to be in the conference. The alphas are expected to come along with their Lunas..." Fredrick didn't get to finish his talk before Adonis pressed the red button on the phone and ended the call.

He hissed and pulled off his suit leaving him shirtless only with a singlet showing his manly abs. He already knew the purpose of the meeting, and he wasn't interested. It was because of his recent attack which made him take over some packs. Now, he guessed that the other Alphas were afraid for themselves and most likely wanted to strike a deal with him.

His thoughts paused midway when a soft knock landed on the door, and he smirked as Aurora's scent hit his nose. "Come in," he responded. Almost immediately, the door creaked open and Aurora walked into his office with an unusual look on her face.

Her eyes strayed to his exposed chest and she gulped hard, but shook her head to comfort herself. Meanwhile, Adonis gazed at her, amazed at her beauty. His eyes focused on her exposed cleavage which looked more appetizing in the long ball gown and it almost got him hard.

"Why are you here?" he asked coldly and she gulped down in fear. Aurora suddenly lost the courage to tell him, but after a while, she spoke out.

"I'm here to tell you to thank you for treating badly, even though all you are concerned about is how to satisfy your s****l desires. You don't even consider my emotions, so I want my freedom. I reject you…" She couldn't complete her statement as he glared at her with a deadly look which sent a cold shiver down her spine. In response, she steeled her face. Even though he stopped her from talking, she was still going to say what was on her mind.

"I hate the way you act toward me and I would like if you change. You never act like I am your mate," she tried again with full courage, expecting a sorry from him. Adonis didn't budge and he ignored her wordslike she wasn't present. He instinctively knew Tania was the mastermind who manipulated his mate to reject him, and he would be sure to deal with her later.

"Well it's a good thing you are here, Aurora. We are going on a trip as Alpha and Luna, so go and get your luggage ready," he responded, giving no thought to her earlier words. In defeat, she nodded her head slowly and ran out of his office slamming the door shut.

When she entered her room and closed the door, she fell in top on her bed and shook her head. She was really messed up, if not why would she just fall stupidly for his cold look? Even after telling him, he couldn't even utter a word of apology.

"No! Adonis I hate you," she cried venting her anger on the pillows.

"But you love him," her wolf responded instantly, growling in delight.
