Chapter 13

Anthony sighed and also ate his food in silence after Aurora had gone. The cook was watching them and she had noticed how cold Aurora had been the past few days towards Adonis. She could only hope they get back together again. She knew that Adonis was actually affected by Aurora's cold attitude towards him but he just tried his best to let it slide and cover it up with a pretended smile. But deep down he was really hurt. She felt pity for Adonis and wished she could do something to help him. But mainly looking at Aurora's cold attitude she knew it was something very serious and she doesn't intend to change her mind anytime soon. She actually knows Aurora to be so soft hearted but seeing her that way it must be that Adonis really did something bad to her for her to be that way now. Adonis was finally done eating after a while he just took up a glass of water and zipped it down his throat and just remained seated there. He didn't feel like standing up for a minute, he felt so down and he wondered what he could possibly do to change Aurora's mood. "Alpha, can I take this thing away now,or you need more food?" The cook asked. "You can take it away, I don't need any more food." Anthony replied. "Ok Alpha." The cook quickly walked towards the table and started picking up the used plates. Adonis knew it was wrong for him to remain seated in the dining room and that was why the cook asked him that question earlier. He got up on his feet while the cook was still clearing out the dishes and started walking out of the dining room. He walked over to his room and got in but just then he thought of Aurora again. He knew that she normally liked it whenever they were getting intimate and thought of going to her but he stopped himself because he knew that wasn't the right time for any form of intimacy. He was going to continue buying her gifts for sometime before we try to go over to her room. But for now he has to remain calm and just think of more ways to make her happy and forget about what has happened. He wished he could change what had happened but that's not possible he can't go back to change the past. So he would only look for a way to ensure that the past doesn't continue hunting the future and present. He thought of something that he would probably do to get his mind off Aurora for once because the thought of her always distracts him from doing anything he was supposed to do. He actually had some pending work at his office that needed his attention but with Aurora's thoughts in his head he just couldn't seem to concentrate on anything that he was doing. Because she was more than a disturbance to all he does. He just couldn't wait also for her to finally forgive him because it really hurt him and his wolf also made it more painful to him by blaming it on him. So getting her forgiveness will really be a relief to him. He glanced at the time after dwelling in his thoughts for a while and gasped seeing it was already so late at night. He quickly stood up from his couch and made his way to his bed. He turned off the lights and climbed into his bed before turning on the bedside lamp. He relaxed back into his bed and shut his eyes as his mind was still moving towards the direction of Aurora. He was already getting so frustrated already about everything. He picked up his cell phone from the nightstand drawer and started pressing in as it helped a little in distracting him from his thoughts. He continued to press his cell phone which really helped him out a lot until he slept off unknowingly, and his cell phone fell from his hand and landed on his stomach. Aurora on her own was also having a hard time trying to get some sleep but she kept trying to get some sleep too. She turned several times on her bed looking for the perfect spot that would make her sleep peacefully but couldn't find any. She sat up from her bed and decided to probably go to the sitting room and watch a movie, maybe that might help her out. She climbed down from her bed and started walking out of her room. She was finally in the sitting room within a few minutes and she quickly put on the TV and reduced the volume so she wouldn't wake up those people sleeping. Just then the cook walked into the sitting room hearing the noise of the TV. "Oh, ma'am you are here?" The cook asked with a smile plastered on her face. "Yes, I'm here, hope I didn't wake you?" Aurora asked. "No ma'am, I wasn't even sleeping yet." The cook said,as she walked towards Aurora. "Ok that's much better." Aurora replied. "Yes ma'am, but do you need anything since you aren't sleeping yet?" The cook asked. "No I don't think so." Aurora replied. "But I think you would need some cookies and fruit juice to relax as you watch your movie." The cook suggested. "Hmm," Aurora exhaled. "That isn't a bad idea though." Aurora said, "No it isn't." The cook replied. "Alright then, you can go ahead and get it." Aurora told her. "Alright ma'am, I will be back shortly." The cook said, with a smile as she turned around and walked out of the sitting room. While Aurora just returned her glance to the movie on display on the TV. After a while the cook walked back into the sitting room with a plate filled with cookies and also a fruit juice and glass. "Here are your orders ma'am." The cook said, and slowly dropped it on the table and Aurora mouthed a 'thank you' to her and started eating it. The cook watched her for a while before asking. "Ma'am can I sit beside you for a while?" "Yes sure why not." Aurora quickly replied, and the cook had her seat beside her on the couch. She thought of asking Aurora about what was going on between herself and Adonis but decided to kick it off. She knew with that question she was crossing her boundary. She has no right to ask Luna what was wrong with her relationship with the Alpha so she just kept quiet and continued watching the movie on display . But deep down in her heart she was worried about that and wished they would just get back together as soon as possible. She knew Adonis was hurt beyond compare with all that was happening and she wished she could fixed it but honestly she knows for sure that Aurora doesn't see the hurt and guilt all over Adonis face because she was also blinded by her own hurts and can't seems to care about anyone else for now until she has also learned to deal with hers. They both remain seated on the couch and Aurora was really enjoying the night with the delicious cookies and fruit juice the cook had brought for her. She never knew it would go that well so she ordered it immediately. She turned over to the cook after a while and saw her sleeping now and sighed. She slowly tapped her gently on her laps and she quickly opened her eyes. "Do you need anything ma'am." The cook asked immediately and she opened her eyes. "No dear but I think you need to go to bed now, you are feeling sleepy." Aurora told her. "But ma'am I.." she was saying but Aurora interrupted her. "No but you don't have to worry about this, I will take them to the kitchen myself." Aurora told her. "Oh ok, good night ma'am." The cook said, and got on her feet. "Yes good night." Aurora replied, and the cook slowly walked away. Aurora sighed and resumed back to the movie she was watching while she continued eating the cookies on the dish in front of her. The movie finally came to an end and the cookies were also finished. She drank the last juice on her glass and grabbed the remote control. She tuned to another channel and started watching the movie shown there because she wasn't actually feeling sleepy yet and she also didn't want to go to her room which was boring to her. She remained seated on the couch as he glanced at the TV. Aurora watched the new movie for more than an hour before she finally slept off on the couch leaving the TV on and also the empty fruit juice, glass and the plate she had used in eating the cookies on the glass table.
