Chapter 15

The cook dished out their food and they both started eating. After a while Aurora stood up to leave but Adonis stopped her by holding her hand.

"Why are you holding me, what do you want?" She asked rudely, and tried to release herself from Adonis' grip.

"Wait, sit down for a while, I want to give you something." Adonis said,

"You can give it to me while I'm standing right now." She replied.

"Hmm," Adonis exhaled. "Just sit, let me give you please." Adonis told her. But she was still proving a little stubborn. She didn't want to wait but rather she turned to leave but the cook pleaded with her too and decided to sit down.

"Ok, I'm seated now, just make it snapping, I need to get going." Aurora said, and Adonis put his hand into his pants pocket and brought out the jewellery on a little lock.

"Here I have this." He said, stretching it over to her and she quickly took it from him.

"So can I go now?" She asked.

"No, please just open it first and see what is inside." Adonis said,

"Is it a must that I open it here?" Aurora asked.

"No, it isn't but I will really appreciate it if you open it here." Adonis said,

"Ok then let's see." Aurora sighed, and slowly started opening it. She gasped when she saw the beautiful jewellery. She really loves it but raising her gaze she met with Adonis who had been staring at her all the while she was opening it.

"I have opened it now,so I guess you must be happy now." Aurora said, and got up on her feet.

Adonis opened his mouth to say something but decided to just keep quiet since she didn't say anything about the jewelry. He doesn't want to push it too much. He knew how angry Aurora was and he could tell that it won't be easy to change her mind about him.

Aurora started walking out of the dining room since Adonis didn't say anything again. She just wanted to leave his presence; she didn't really want to see him around her. It was like her anger for him was just increasing and she doesn't even see him as her mate anymore but a monster which she despises too much. She walked into her room and went straight to her dresser and dropped the jewelry on it and also pulled out a chair and sat.

"So he thinks he can buy me off with a gift but that's not going to happen, I don't think I can ever stop seeing him as a monster." She told herself, while still sitting on the chair. She glanced at her reflection for a while before picking up the jewelry again.

"This is pure gold and it's really beautiful, but I can't ever use it because it was given to me by that monster." She said,out loud and angrily dropped it back before standing up from the chair she had been sitting on.

Right now many thoughts were starting to run through her head again and she was going to need to be a little distracted from it again. She hates to think about Adonis because she used to love him so very much. But after what he did that broke her so much, she couldn't even find a single love for him anymore but rather it just a hate that's what filled her heart. She could only see him as a monster right now and nothing more than that. She walked over to her bed and sighed as she picked up the book she was actually reading before the cook came to call her for breakfast. She slowly walked over to the couch in her room and had her seat. She put her legs on the table and opened the book and continued reading from where she had stopped earlier.

Meanwhile Adonis has also returned to his room. He thought of going to his office but he knew that he couldn't possibly do anything in the office. He knew better now that Aurora wasn't really an easy nut to c***k and he was really in for her right now. But he won't give up as long as she kept showing him the cold attitude he would keep trying to make sure she was going to give in to him. As long as it may take him to make up for his wrongs to Aurora he would definitely make up with her. He doesn't care about anything else right now, all his focus is just on how to make Aurora forgive him and allow him into her life again. He knows for sure that Aurora has totally written him off and if she was given a chance to escape from his house she would gladly take it and never even think of returning back to his house. Deep down inside of him he is hurt and broken from all those things that were currently happening to him. He has lost one of his mates that he really loves and showed so much love and care but he doesn't intend to lose Aurora again. She was actually the second chance the moon goddess had given to him to love someone but he had taken it for granted but now he knows better.

He sat on his couch as all the thoughts ran through his head. "If I ever get her to forgive me again, I will never ever take her for granted again." He said,

"Yes, thank God you have learnt your lesson and, I really hope you would never make any mistakes for sure ever again." His wolf added.

"Yes, I can guarantee that." He replied.

"And also I hope we could succeed in getting back her love, because we have really hurt her feelings." His wolf said,

"That's true but I will try everything possible to win her over to us again, we can't possibly lose the mate again." He replied.

"Ok better, because I can't bear to lose another mate again because I'm sure the moon goddess won't even think of giving us another mate." His wolf told him.

"Yes that's true though, but I'm sure we won't lose her again." Adonis said,

"I sure hope so." His wolf replied.

"But do you think there is anything that we could do right now to get back our mate's love?" Adonis asked.

"I don't really know anything." His wolf replied.

"Hmm," he exhaled.

"You have to just try and think of something, besides you are the human here and I'm only active when you want to fight or make out with our mate." His wolf said,

"Wow, that's brilliant." Adonis smiled.

"What is brilliant?" His wolf asked.

"I think I can also make her happy by making out with her, you usually enjoy it whenever we are making out." Adonis said.

"Oh my,why didn't you think of it earlier." His wolf sighed.

"Yes but don't worry, we will do just that tonight." He said,

"Ok, I just can't wait for tonight then, because I have really missed our mate though." His wolf replied.

"Alright, anyways I hope this works out too." He said,

"It will definitely do." His wolf replied.

"Ok whatever but I have to go now." He said and got up on his feet and started walking out of his room.

He has finally decided to go to his office and he would do anything possible to make sure he was able to concentrate on his work at his office. He just wanted to do some stuff there. He had over left the work pending there but it was high time he got them done with once and for all. He was walking to his office when he saw two maids on the path he was talking to, just then he remembered he needed something to keep him busy while he was working.

"Bring a bottle of wine to my office." He said, and the two maids bowed before he continued his journey to his office.

He flipped open the door of his office and slowly walked in before shutting it back and proceeded to his chair in the office. He had his seat and took up some documents which he quickly opened and started checking it out. Just then there was a knock on his office there. "Yes, who's there?" He asked, with his eyes still fixed on the files on his hand.

"It's me Alpha, I brought your wine." The maid said,

"Oh come in immediately the door is open." He replied. And the door cracked open and the maid walked in but stood at the entrance.

"Alpha please where should I drop it?" The maid asked.

"Bring it here." He replied without taking off his glance from the file in his hand.

The maid sighed and walked closer to where he was seated and cleared a spot in the table where she dropped the wine and glass in her hands.
