Alexander’s POV The footsteps coming down the staircase thumped loudly, and I gritted my teeth in annoyance. I sat up a little straighter and stretched in my chair. Rubbing my eyes, I blinked slowly until Lawrence’s figure wasn’t blurry any longer. The computer screen was definitely playing with my eyesight. “You’re going to kill yourself at this pace,” he said to me.  I looked down at the heaps of books I had gone through in the past couple of, umm. Hours? Days? I turned to look at the clock on the corner of the desk. It read 2:37am. I yawned.  “Seriously, Alexander.
