I didn't really pay attention to what Mariah was saying to her father. But when Jeff came up to her house. That is when I got on edge. How did he know where she lived? Jeff parked his car and got out. Jeff said, "I don't like it when I get stood-up."

Mariah replied "I don't give a s**t what you want and I don't care." I was getting amused because of her mouth and Jeff getting really pissed. But when she told him to get off her property. He didn't, the next thing I knew was holding a gun at him. She warned him that if he comes onto the property or is threatening in any way she has all rights to shoot. Which he took a step and that is when she shot him in the leg. And she bent down and said "the bullets are silver and laced with lead in them. Which can kill you. So you might want to call James, I think that is his name to get you to the hospital." I have to admit I was shocked as hell. But seeing Jeff's face being confused and pissed all at once made it better because she doesn't fall for his act. Then she turned to me and said "let's go." We got into my car and left. Once we were driving, it was silent. Then I couldn't stop myself from asking "Mariah, how do you know how to shoot?"

Mariah answered, "I thought to myself."

I replied "Nice." Mariah just nodded her head yes. I then said "well, I have to admit something. I like a girl who can take care of herself. It's hot to me. I don't like females when they act like a damsel in distress." That is when I realized what I said. I just slipped out. That is when I noticed Mariah stopped talking. But she was blushing really hard. I have noticed she is not that affectionate person. That is when I asked "hey, did I make you uncomfortable or did I say something wrong because you are now all quiet on me?"

Mariah replied "no, and no. I am just thinking about what you said. You were talking about me. Why don't you just admit it to me?" I was really shocked she said that, my wolf on the other hand was really happy about her question. Eric said "tell mate you like her, or I will come out and do it for you."

I replied "Mariah, yes I do like you and yes you are attractive. You have a good personality, you have a rough outer shell, but I would like to see the other side of you, that is if you let me that is.."

Mariah said "I will make you a deal. If you can beat me while we are training, then I will let you get to know me more. But if I win you have to play soccer with me. Do we have a deal?"

I smiled and replied "okay deal, but I will still play soccer with you." Then we stopped talking. We fell into a comfortable silence. I kept taking side glances at her. A few times, I noticed, she kept doing the same as me. Then we finally arrived at the gym. We both got out.
