I sat alone in my bedroom and It’s was spring break and I was feeling lonely as all my friends were all away, They were either visiting family or away with others somewhere hot and sunny. I have decided I'm going to find some local fun on a dating app. I'm 19 and just finished college. I'm due to move away soon for university to study journalism, so I can't go to the partys or on holiday like my friends because I need to save as much money as I can to give me time to adjust and settle in after I move before finding a job. I upload the App, and fill out my profile and snape about 20 selfies till I find one I like for my profile, I then spent about 30 minutes scrolling profiles of sad lonely dudes till I found one I truly liked. I sent him a message “ Hi i'm Ruby and im 19, how are you ?” He ameditaly pings back with “ Hello, beautiful. You are so beautiful. My name is Lennex. He then sends me a very cute selfie, he has dark curly hair, blue eyes and a rugged jawline with an adorable chin dimple. We spent the evening Chatting and flirting through the app, Lennex tells me about his life, his dad was a farm laborer and his grandad own a shack in the wooded mountain side about 20 miles away, how he never went to collage and has worked since leaving school, he has even been a truck driver but he finds it dull unless he has a hitchhiker to chat to. I’m scared for him as you don't know who is on the road. I'm getting tired as we have been talking for hours so I say “good night, Lennex”. In the morning I wake up at 8;30 and there is already a “Good morning beautiful” message and a Selfie of him and a beautiful husky type dog. I message him back with “Good morning handsome, what are you doing today?” “Well” I reply “ I’m going to have a spring clean of my room and then maybe go for a walk later” “Really” he answers “ would you like some company?“ he asks I send a flirty selfie and reply “But sir, I don't know you ? He sends back his mobile number and suggests I look him up on f*******:. I did and he is so cute, there are a lot of photos of him in the woods with his dog or dogs (not sure) and in a cute log cabin as well as with some older men that look like him on a farm. I soon agreed to text him and I spent most of the day Texting him rather than cleaning and I never did go for a walk as I was texting flirty messages. I never even ate a proper breakfast and no lunch at all. I sent him an apologetic message saying I should go as I need to eat dinner. So he suggested we Chat in person over the phone and I thought this was a bit quick but i enjoy Flirting with him and agree. While I'm making dinner he tells me about his dogs, he had a black labrador puppy when he was a kid and then asks me about my childhood pets. I told him “When I was a child on my 8th birthday my mum and dad took me to a pet shop and I chose myself 2 guinea pigs, one was white and fluffy so I called her muffin and the other was light brown with white and brown speckles, I thought they looked like white and dark chocolate chips so obviously I called her cookie.” We both laughed and he asked me what a guinea pig looks like so I sent him a picture of them from their phone. He said “oh, they're small.” and then asked me “how long do they live? And how much do they eat?” These seemed like odd questions. So I jokingly said “Are you thinking of getting some?” he laughed and said something about his nieces. After I finished dinner I realised it was quite late, So I said good night and hung up. The next morning I worked in a local superstore, I was a shelf stacker and occasionally worked on the tills if needed. Because I started early and was not allowed to have my phone on me so I didn't get a chance to chat with Lennex that morning. By lunch time I had 8 missed calls and a dozen increasingly worried and cross texted. So I rang him and I managed to calm him down and he finally listened to me. I explained that I was at work and that my phone had to be locked in my locker during work time. He apologized and said that if I liked he could collect me from work and take me home if I liked, I was dubious but he seemed kind and liked animals “So, why not “ I said to him. When he met me outside work he had a bouquet of roses and was very Flirty and insisted on taking a Selfie with me in uniform and putting it on his f*******: page “because you look so cute” he told me. When he dropped me home he was a perfect gentleman and walked me to the door and even kissed me on the cheek before waving good night. We spent the evening chatting on the phone as I made dinner for myself and we both watched TV in our own places but texted back and forth about the show. As I start feeling sleepy I tell him I should get to bed early as I have work again the next day so he says “Why don't I pick you up after work and we could grab food and maybe watch a movie?” I said “ Okay, sounds awesome” so I told him what time I finish. Next day ….
