I arrived at school, at an averagely early time and I was at my locker, sorting my things when a familiar dark eyes came walking towards me.
I turned casting him a weak smile, his eyes widened when he reached my front.
"Are you alright?"
He muttered, raising his hands to my forehead. Why did everyone keep doing that?
"What's wrong with you?"
He asked, with something that looked like worry in his eyes, but when I looked deeper. I realize that it was probably pretense.
I rolled my eyes, jerking my locker close "Stay away, cade"
I uttered almost harshly and his lips pursed, staring at me in puzzlement.
"You're also in a horrible mood"
He noted and then rose his brows with a teasing smile along his lips. "Are you in that time of the month?"
I turned to look at his face, there was a very playful grin on it, so I realized that he didn't mean it, and I decided not to say anything.
I just rolled my eyes and walked past him but he was faster and jumped to my front.
I moved back because we were too close and I stared at him tight-lipped as his eyes moved over me and then he chuckled.
"What's with the big dress?"
I looked at him, blank-faced "what? You don't like it?"
Then he winked "of cause not. Big is sexy too. Anything you wear is hot"
I wanted to grit at his reply, but instead, a tired sigh escaped from my lips. "You're a piece of work, cade"
I muttered, pushing him out of my way by the shoulders. He let me, if not, I wouldn't be able to.
I wondered at the back of my head. If he was doing all this to win that stupid bet or if he was being serious.
But then, I wasn't a foul. He probably was
He was now walking beside me and there was a comfortable silence between us until a particular brown eyes came walking towards us.
Luke.
Cade groaned the moment he stopped at our front. "I was hoping you would walk past us"
Luke swung his hands into his both pockets, obviously ignoring cade. He had his eyes fixed on me for a while and then, a smile cracked on his lips as he patted me on my golden brown hair.
"You look shorter than usual"
He commented and I stared in a daze. Wondering what exactly was going on here.
Was I missing something?
Cade rolled his eyes instantly removing luke's hand from my hair. "Can you get straight to the point? As you can see we were heading somewhere"
Luke passed him a hard glare but he still didn't say anything. He looked at me again and then winked. "Why did you say you wanted to see me in my room this morning?"
I groaned internally. So it was about that? I knew I shouldn't have said that and did he really have to ask me that in front of cade?
Cade looked at me in an instant, almost with what looked like jealousy and I made a light cough before uttering.
"Right, forget I ever said that"
"Uh?"
I looked at him, almost eyeing him in anger but then I didn't. He was probably thinking things too much, so I decided to clarify it.
"I only wanted to discuss something important with you, but then, I guess we can do that in broad daylight. So forget that I ever said that"
I muttered and he blinked at me a bit, probably still refusing to believe that it wasn't what he was thinking that I meant and now it was cade's turn to laugh.
"I think you've embarrassed yourself enough. Even I feel sorry for you"
Luke gritted his teeth, looking at him in anger. "What's your problem?"
Cade hunched his shoulders, a glint of mockery on his lips. "Wasn't I invisible about two seconds ago? Why are you suddenly staring at me?"
He joked, and I honestly wanted to laugh at that but then, I decided against it.
"You know the difference between You and Aiden?"
He muttered all of a sudden and cade looked at him in silence. His face turning back to something serious.
He seemed to hate being compared to anyone and Aiden of all.
"You have your foolishness a point higher than him"
Ouch.
I stared in a daze. This wasn't going to end well. I had better find a way to get out of here.
"Wrong"
A particular cold blank-faced muttered, as he walked up to us and I wanted to die within.
Great, another addition. This wasn't going to be good.
Everyone in the hallways was staring hugely and from the corner of my eyes, I could see charlotte winking at me. I blinked at her to come over and help me but then the siren rang.
She waved at me and blew a kiss my way, saying something that I couldn't lip read and I passed my hands into my hair as my gaze shifted back to the three guys in front of me.
They seemed to be seriously engaged in their pointless fight and I just wondered if they even heard the siren.
I tried to slide past them but they were so tall and strong and my tiny body couldn't do anything to save myself.
I was stuck in their middle and I just knew that their fight was only going to get me in trouble.
