A WEIRD DAY-OFF

[Delianna’s POV]

W-what? What did he said? Well, I admit that I’m a b***h—but, I won’t accept it coming from Chain Tragedy Ayala, the most stupidest boy I ever met.

“Y-you!” My mouth was left open. He has now the right to call me like that because he’s my boss?! f**k his balls.

“What’cha gonna do about that, huh?” he winked at me and grinned. He’s testing my patience and I’m so full of him.

“You are my boss, but it doesn’t give you the right to call me that. Is this how you treat your employees? Talking shits about them behind their back and calling them a b***h? Is this what you called professionalism, Mr. Ayala?” I erased the annoyance on my face and became calmed. I need to show the freak that I’m a badass than he is.

“Well, this is me, being professional. If you don’t like how professional I am, then you can leave.” I faked a smile and simply left the room. He’s a dork. I made a ‘f**k you’ sign and I immediately hid my hands when I heard him called.

“Miss Lopez! We’re not done yet!” I had no other choice but to get back inside the conference room. Damn! I feel like I’m a puppet.

“Yes, Sir?” I asked him. Trying to forget that I lost. Well, not exactly, he just won because he’s my boss.

“Why are you late?” Oh, he still didn’t forgot that I’m late…but I think he absolutely forgot that today is my day-off.

“I was stuck in the middle of the traffic and it was 8:30 when you informed me through Dannah.” I explained.

“So, is it my fault?” Yes, it’s your f*****g fault. You should even thank me that I didn’t brought up the incident last night that you ruined my bar hopping.

“Did I blame you?” I murmured.

“What, Miss Lopez?”

“N-nothing, Sir.”

“I guess we’re settled.” He said with a nod before walking out of the room. My sight was locked on his butt, I know that it is illegal but heck, I suddenly want to pinch it.

“Sir!” I shook my head and ran to catch him, I almost forgot to ask him about one thing, about the most important thing to me right now. Gosh, his legs are long like a giraffe. I was panting when I got closer to him.

“Do you need something, Miss Lopez? Please hurry up, I need to visit the site seven minutes from now.”

“Am I dismiss now? Well, basically today is really my day-off.” I frowned when he’s busy tapping something on his phone.

“Ehem!” I pretended like I was clearing my throat to call out his attention.

“What’s your plan today? Do you have a chores to do at your house?”

“I’ll take a rest, of course. That’s what day-off is for.” I took a single step backward when he pushes his face closer to mine.

“You can rest in my office, there’s a huge sofa inside.”

Am I having a dream? He’s offering me his sofa. I want to feel excited but I suddenly thought…is he planning something?

“I’m sorry, Sir, but I’ll just rest in my apartment.” I turned around to leave.

“Apartment? I thought you live in a dazzling mansion, what happened?” I looked at his face and I can see the interest in his eyes but nah uh. I’ll tear his ego down.

“I’m your secretary, Sir, and obviously we’re not friends. I don’t see any reason that I should share my personal stuff with you.”

“Fine. As so you know, I don’t give a damn about you, but I don’t accept a no for an answer. You’ll be resting inside my office, either you like it or not. I’ll pay you double, you don’t need to worry. I just want you to be there when anything urgent will happen.”

I guess I have no choice. Chain left alone to check the site for the warehouse. I went inside his office and for the first time ever since I entered here, I finally got the chance to lie down on his soft fluffy sofa. I will surely buy one after receiving my third-month income… but can I make it that far? Three months with my cruel boss? Well, I’ll just pray for the best.

I moaned while hugging a soft pillow. I gently opened my eyes and realized that I’m at Chain’s office.

“Miss Lopez!” I could feel my head spun as I suddenly stood up straightly after hearing Chain’s voice together with a loud bang when he opened the office door.

“Sir.”

“My schedule for today?”

What? Schedule for today? I looked at the glass wall and then down to my wrist watch and realized that it is already six in the evening.

“Sir?” I can’t understand what he’s saying. The day almost end and he need his schedule? Is he nuts?

“What I mean is…you can go home now.” Eh? Is he drunk? It seems that his head is flying and not to understand what’s coming out from his own mouth.

“Okay! Goodbye, Sir!” I just had the most weirdest day-off.

I spent almost two months working as Chain’s beloved secretary and I suffered a lot.

He shouted and made me embarrassed in front of the Company’s Building. A lot of employees and strangers saw and maybe realized how stupid I am for not doing a good job as his secretary.

I actually tripped countless times because of him and I learned my lesson; to be aware and attentive with my footwork whenever he’s around.

“Sir, about the land that you want to buy.”

“Yeah, yeah. Have you reviewed the contract and its condition?” I keep panting while I walked fastly, trying to keep up with him. He’s a marathon walker, gosh!

“Yes, Sir. The things that I noticed is you need to make a down-payment about 250,000 and it also said that you need to wait for a year and a half to start the project.” I heard him cussed and sighed.

“Anything else?”

“After paying the down-payment and then incase you would suddenly back-out, only 45% of the cash will be refunded.” He was upset and poured his anger all over to me.

“Find another land! Make it instant, Miss Lopez. I hate waiting.”
