KNOW YOU TOO WELL

[Delianna’s POV] “What took you so long?” He asked as he glanced at his watch. Who is he, my Dad? “How did you got in here?” He put down the magazine and stood up with his hands inside his pockets. His malignant eyes drawn unto mine. “Your door was not locked, dummy.” “Ouch!” I groaned when he fillip my forehead. I gently touched the part where he flick me. “What are you doing here by the way? In my apartment?” I asked him and still confuse…though I feel quite nervous. I hope he’s not here to take me to work. It’s my freaking day-off. “You didn’t answer my question, Miss Lopez. What took you so long?” “Why the hell you care? We’re not at work and it’s basically my day-off. I can go anywhere and go home anytime I want. I don’t remember anything that my boss should interfere with my personal schedule. If you need me because of work, you could have called me.” We looked at each other, eye-to-eye. He’s not piss nor affected by my words. He just stared at me and I looked away when my eyes began to feel sore. “I’ll ask you again. What took you so long? You can answer it or say that you would refuse answering it.” He won’t give up, will he? I gritted my teeth. “I-I met your Mom and she wants to have a conversation with me, I didn’t refuse.” He just shrugged and turned around. I could tell that he’s checking my apartment out. White and dull walls, my bed is just connected to the living room and so as the dining room and the kitchen. The apartment is not so big nor too small, but it’s all that I have for shelter. I got my friend, Yasi, to check some apartments that I could stay in before I moved out of the mansion. I noticed a leather suitcase lying on the sofa where Chain was seating awhile ago. “I can’t believe it. Why would you choose to suffer a life like this in exchange of what luxuries you had before.” I never expected him to say something like that. I thought he would ask me about the conversation me and her Mother had. “As far as I can remember, it’s none of your concern.” “Well, I need to go.” He started walking towards the door, not affected by my answer, and before he went out, he turned around facing me. “Oh, by the way, I left some important papers for you to work on. I also need to tell you that…always lock your door before leaving or when you’re alone.” He closes the door, even after he left, I’m still dumbfounded. My head slowly shifted to the brown leather suitcase he left. Darn it! Three compiled papers and each compilation consists of 189 to 205 pages. I need time to breath or else I would go insane and kill my boss right away. . [Chain’s POV] I went inside the company’s building and I stopped walking towards my private elevator when the receptionist called me. “Your Mom is waiting for you at your office, Sir.” I nodded and thanked her. I guess my prediction didn’t disappoint me. I knew that she would talk to me right away after finding out that Delianna is working as my secretary. I wonder if she still think that Delianna and I have a relationship. After two years of being the CEO of the Future Dreams Home, Mom became eager to have a grandchild. She keeps pestering me and after she realized that I’m still not ready to marry someone, she stopped. Dad on the other hand doesn’t care whom and when shall I get married as long as I’m doing my best as the CEO of the company. He’s quiet about his opinions and thoughts but he always showed how supportive Father he is. I tighten my tie as I went inside my office. I instantly saw my Mom seating on the couch while drinking a coffee. She smiled at me but I didn’t smiled back, there’s no reason to make a nonsense effort. “Do you any business here, Mom?” I sat on my swivel and she stood up. Excitement was visible on her face. Her eyes are smiling as she sat across me with both hands intertwined. “Delianna told me that she’s working as your secretary.” “Yeah?” “So how is she…as your secretary?” I boringly laid my back on the swivel chair. I don’t really know where our conversation is heading. There are only few things left to be done. Thanks to Delianna, she must really hate me now. The thought of her face cursing me and whining made me smirk. “Well, no need to tell me. I actually know what’s inside your mind because of that smirk, my pervert son.” Wait…what? My Mom got it wrong. She must thought that I’m having dirty imagination. I was about to disagree but she stood up, back facing me and she giggled. I guess there is no point telling her that she had it wrong, so I kept my mouth shut. “Don’t you have other things to do?” I asked, making her see the obvious that I don’t want her inside my office. “I’ll be leaving soon…do you like Delianna?” It instantly made me chuckle. How ridiculous. “I don’t. She’s not the woman I’m looking for and I rather die virgin than liking her.” It’s true. Why would I even like her? She easily ran out of patience, likes to play with people out of boredom, dependent on her Father’s wealth, and she always think that she’s right, in order words, her pride is quite high. “Okay! I’ll go now. Please, Chain, treat her nicely, okay? She’s a nice young lady.” She gave me a flying kiss, how childish my Mom is. Nice? Delianna? I know she’s just pretending in front of other people but to me, she’s clearly transparent. I know how piss she is every time I make fun of her, how she laugh at people inside her mind and pretends to be a loser just to gain someone’s pity and trust. I know you too well, Delianna. You still haven’t change. I’ll make sure you’ll regret obtaining such mischievous personality.
