Hecta opened her eyes, Marcus stepped forward. “Good morning my love.” He said helping her help. “Here is the final dose of your punch.” He said handing her a cup.
Hecta drank it as quickly as she couldn’t, she didn’t speak. She looked around, she knew where she was. This was the place she remembered being banished in.
“I know what you’re thinking,” Marcus said taking her hand. “I brought you here because this is where your rage lies, this is where your power begins.” He said helping her off the table, her black dress flowed around the floor. “You are even more beautiful than I remember you.” He said walking her around the room.
“Quiet Marcus,” Hecta growled at him, she was still finishing the transition, she wanted Anabel to stop fighting and give into her. “This mortal you chose is stronger than anyone I’ve ever come across, this ritual may not hold.”
“Yes, I realized that after I killed her in the car accident and I went to collect her soul. She made it back to her world, the Angels found her before I could.” Marcus said shaking his head. “I am sorry.”
“Anabel feels greatly for this mortal Carlos, he might be an issue.” She said looking at him. “I want Dremis to bring him here.” She said looking at Dremis. “I want it done quietly because he might know where the twins are, bring them here too.”
“Do you want me to kill him?” Dremis asked walking closer to her.
“Dremis I want him brought here, you can have fun with him, but if you kill him you will answer to me understand?” Hecta said looking at him.
“Yes,” Dremis said looking at Marcus. “So should we lay low for a bit until we know for sure Anabel isn’t fighting anymore?”
“Maybe,” Marcus said walking over to Hecta. “You need to rest, you need to drink. We have a lot of planning to do.” He said looking at Dremis. “Come and drink and eat with us, we will show you around.”
“Fine.” She said rolling her eyes. “I want a meeting with all the demons that follow you, I want them to spread the word I am back, and I want revenge. You better find the twins, since our baby didn’t make it, they will have to do.” She said tapping her fingers on her chin.
“I tried to revive him, but they used magic to kill him,” Marcus said touching Hecta. “We always can make another one.”
“No, we needed Anabel for that.” She said pushing his hand away. “I want to take a walk, do not follow me.” She said walking away from him. She would explore her surroundings and plan her attack on Heaven. If they wouldn’t give the twins to her willingly she would take them, she would destroy heaven from there.
“Welcome home Hecta, I thought it was a rumor but I had to come to see it for myself,” Victor said appearing in front of Hecta. “So the little demon Marcus pulled this off bravo!”
“Hello Victor, why weren’t you there to help me through this?” she growled. “You know they almost messed everything up, why weren’t you watching over them.” She said shaking her head.
‘Because I didn’t think he would be able to pull it off.” He said shaking his head. “I thought it was going to be one of the unlucky demons that died at the hands of the Angels, I’m not putting my life for that.”
Hecta took a step towards him, “Well I guess that shows me who is loyal and who isn’t.” she said turning away from him. “Either you are with us, or your not.” She said looking back at him. “You better choose your side fast, because when I come to wipe out the demons that aren’t with us, you better know your place.” She said walking away from him. She didn’t have time to play these games, she wanted an army that would die for her, not run away.
“So what does that mean Hecta?” Victor called. “You know I would die for you.”
“Ha,” Hecta said shaking her head, she walked away from the demon. She didn’t care if he turned on her, he would just be another demon she would wipe out and not feel bad about. She wanted only the strength behind her.
Hecta walked back to the lair, she didn’t want to talk to anyone, Marcus waited for her by the door but he didn’t speak. He let her walk past him, he followed her closely. “Are you sure you don’t want to eat something?” he said wanting to put his arm around her but knowing she would probably push it off.
“No, I do not need to eat.” She said shaking her head. “I just want to know who is part of us and who isn’t. I ran into Victor.” She said looking at Marcus.
“Oh?” he said shaking his head. “What did he want?” he said looking at Dremis who appeared a few seconds into their conversation.
“Did you find Carlos?” she said looking at Dremis, ignoring Marcus’ question.
“Not yet.” He said shaking his head, “I set a trap for both of them I don’t know if it will work but we will wait and see.” He said looking at Marcus. “I’m going to need your help if Misty and Tristan come.”
“Fine,” Marcus said shaking his head. “When do you expect them to be there?” he said looking at Hecta and then at Dremis.
“I don’t know, since the Angels are on high alert, it’s hard to tell with them, but we’ll have plenty of time to get there.” He said looking at Hecta. “Soon Carlos will be yours, and then we will get Tristan and Misty.”
“Good,” Hecta said looking at Marcus. “Find Victor bring him here, we need to have a discussion and if he’s not on board, I’m going to show you two just what I mean when I want things done.” She said sitting back down in the chair, she closed her eyes for a moment before taking a deep breath both Marcus and Dremis disappeared.
Marcus and Dremis were only gone for a few minutes, they reappeared in front of Hecta. Victor struggled in their hold. “Why do you want to see me?” he said trying to get free of the demons, but they held onto him.
