Storming into the council room, I had already prepared myself for the worst that could ever happen. If the only person I thought I could birth with my life, blood and sweat, that she would never betray me, could actually betray me, then why else should I be panicking about whatever would come out of their mouth?
As I walked through the council chamber, I felt different than when I entered the second time.
This time around, the room was colder and the faces of the council members were more hostile.
